Aids is a self inflicted death sentence, but an approved one. There'll be no criticising that.
Imagine them having to go out on the street when they felt the urge. I guess it would provide some comic relief for the smokers sharing their outdoor space, though something tells me they would soon be complaining about the second-hand smoke.

I'm assuming that was an agreement 'bump'. Otherwise, I might have to put a hex on you. Or blow smoke in your face or something.
To: JesusSaves
On the contrary. I hope Joe (and you) smoke yourselves to death! :)Did Jesus tell you to say that, or are ya just out there sinnin' on your own?

Pardon me if I seem to be nit-picking, but christians are christians because of sin, not because they are without sin.

I don't think that amounts to a licence to sin.

Not a license, but an acknowledgement of the human condition. Adam and Eve were flawed, thus the need for Christ. Now, just which sin were we talking about? Pride, envy, lust, or maybe something a bit more exotic?
Please don't feel that it is necessary to respond.

From my viewpoint you are calling yourself "JesusSaves" and denying the sovereignty of God. Why do I say that?
First, allow me to call on you acknowledge your faith. I sorry to say that I don't believe you are a Christian. Here, I'll testify:
The God of Abraham and Issac is my God, The Lord Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. To this I testify before all.
Now, if you would be so kind.

I don't follow your logic William Terrell. How am I denying the sovereignty of God? Please show me any where that I limited God in anyway.
I suppose I have to explain my earlier comment, "I hope Joe (and you) smoke yourself to death", for the uninitiated. The smoker's arguement is that smoking is not harmful, causes no ill effect, and couldn't possibly kill (shorten) anyone's life. So that being the mind set, how can my little jest infuriate any one? Quite obviously smoking is in no way harmful, and it would be quite impossible to smoke oneself to death.
As for me, I believe Jesus is the Son of the living God, suffered, and died for my sins, and is seated at the right hand of the Father, as I type. Careful with your innuendos.

you should be VERY proud of yourself! And YOU should mind your own business. You don't pay MY bills! You anti's sure are good at slinging the bull..........I'd sure hate to walk in YOUR shoes!
You sure are a loving caring person with a name like THAT! Shame on you!

I'm not Joe, but he's a friend of mine and I'm just as "rabid" about the topic as he is. EVERYONE who gives a fig about private property rights and individual liberties should be scared to death about what's happening in the War on Smokers and if you're not, seeing as how you're here on FR, you probably don't have a clue.
Do you have children Joe? If so, do you honestly want them to smoke? I have children and grandchildren, and whether or not they smoke is one of the least important things you could ask about them. They are happy! They are healthy! They are active! They are good, compassionate, God-fearing people who believe in this country! They are intelligent and well-educated! In other words, whether they choose to smoke is WAY down on the bottom of the list of things I worry about. Right above worrying that the littlest ones are so softhearted, they might turn out to be Democrats,

I've also told them about private property rights and socialistic governments. Oh, yeah. My littlest grandson had a chance to meet the candidates for governor here last weekend. He said "I don't have to shake hands with Gray Davis, do I?" Get 'em early, I say. Hehehe.
