Legal warning to church on gay stance

Clergy and bishops who distribute the Vatican's latest publication describing homosexual activity as "evil" could face prosecution under incitement to hatred legislation.
The Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) has warned that the language in the 12-page booklet is so strong it could be interpreted as being in breach of the Act.
Published by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, it states that Catholics have a duty to oppose the introduction and operation of legislation recognising same-sex unions. It identifies politicians as having a duty to vote against any such moves.
According to the document, Catholic teaching states that while homosexuals should be treated with "respect, compassion and sensitivity", homosexuality was "objectively disordered".
"Those who would move from tolerance to the legitimisation of specific rights for cohabiting homosexual persons need to be reminded that the approval or legalisation of evil is something far different from the toleration of evil," it states.
It also claims that allowing children to be adopted into same-sex unions would mean "doing violence to these children". This would place them "in an environment that is not conducive to their full human development".
Ms. Aisling Reidy, director of the ICCL, warned yesterday that the statement could be in violation of the 1989 Incitement to Hatred Act. Those convicted under the Act can face jail terms of up to six months.
"The document itself may not violate the Act, but if you were to use the document to say that gays are evil, it is likely to give rise to hatred, which is against the Act," according to Ms Reidy. "The wording is very strong and certainly goes against the spirit of the legislation."
Under the Act literature which is threatening, abusive or insulting, linked with the intent of stirring up hatred, is illegal.

You can't say same sex sexual activity is hazardous to the health of the partners. That would be expressing "bigotry" you see.

If they try to get that started in this country, just wait until the backlash begins.

Stalin once asked during WWII how many Combat Divisions the Pope could put into the field; well I think she'd find out fast enough if they jailed the Pope for passing out the document.

The ICCL have the exact same mentality as the ACLU. I'm sure they share a common history too. You can see what they say about themselves here -
http://www.iccl.ie/constitution/index.html - the Eight Amendment to the Irish Constitution is the 'Pro Life Amendment' (note they didn't use its title) - which passed but which was essentially reveresed by the Irish Supreme Court in the 'X Case'. The similarities to the United States experience are very telling, the activist judges especially, a lot of it like history repeating itself.

Is this one of the foreign bodies that Ruth Bader-Meinhoff Ginsberg wants to KA to? Coming soon to a theater near us.
Now is the time for ALL people of faith to stand up to the evil of which the homosexual agenda is a front and a symbol. Please, anyone who has not visited Scott Lively's websites, check them out. I just read his small booklet "Reprobate Theology" and anyone who is concerned about moral decay and especially how it relates to Christian churches should read it.

www.DefendtheFamily.com
I specifically mention all people of faith, because the world's great monotheist religions are unanimous in condemning same-sex acts as being extrememly sinful, and in many ways very destructive of individuals, and if indulged in or promoted, destructive of society as a whole. The above article is evidence of the link between the homo-agenda and totalitarianism.
Thought police. The homosexualists (homosexuals and their creatures in the media and gov't) want the Thought Police here as well. They are here - we're just not being put in jail - yet. I have two pesonal friends whose fearless defense of the natural family as ordained by Nature and Nature's God, has caused them personal attacks, up to and including - stalking, phone and personal attacks and threats, tire and window destruction, business closing, etc.
People who think it's a non-issue are hiding their heads in the sand, or lying, and they will soon have to deal with it. It is a tsunami coming our way. It is vitally important that people who have not made up their minds about the homosexual issue inform themselves, and be on the side of right.
