Then click on TOBACCO. Scroll down and see just how much money your state is getting in BLOOD MONEY to further ban, control, restrict and raise taxes on people who choose to smoke a legal product.
Why is YOUR hospitals going smoke free? For The MONEY!
Why is YOUR Doctor after you to Quit Smoking? For the MONEY!
Think about it: the states are in dire financial need for health care. In steps old Easy Money Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. If the state signs up to chop off the heads of their smokers, the state will be a recipient to big grant money. For renovation, brand new MRI machines, you name it, the health facility will get it. All because they are doing away with the smokers and the smoking. Sound fair to you?
The higher the bans, control, restrictions imposed on a smoker in each state, the more grant BLOOD money the state will receive from the RWJ Foundation and the American Medical Association. Think about it.

Smokeless States National Tobacco Policy Initiative Expands To 44 States and the District of Columbia
The funding will be used to:
Promote ordinances to reduce tobacco use and exposure to secondhand smoke, also referred to as environmental tobacco smoke (ETS);
Increase state tobacco excise taxes.
Two states have since been added to this map: Delaware and Hawaii.
Consumers for Affordable Health Care Foundation Augusta,ME
SmokeLess States: National Tobacco Policy Initiative 3 years, ending 05/31/04 $992,060 ID#041925
This is how much MAINE is receiving to help chop off the heads of the smokers!
I ask you: how are ordinary people with NO funding going to stop this lunacy?

Does this scare you? It sure scares the hell out of ME! Someone sent me this wonderful (or despicable, depending on how you look at it) link showing the collaboration between the American Medical Association and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the MILLIONS $$$$ being given to OUR states in an attempt to raise cigarette taxes and ban smoking , all under the name of the Smokeless States National Tobacco Policy Initiative.

"The goal of the SmokeLess States program is to reduce tobacco use.
To meet this goal, SmokeLess States is currently funding multi-member coalitions in 44 states (in blue). "

Hell, they treat racial profiling with more respect! Saw a vlip report earlier today on FNC that said a study concluded that smoking and drinking coffee actually lowered the chances of Parkinson's (sp?) disease. They were quick to say though, the dangers of smoking have other health concerns.
Fact is, when people stop trying to mold a perfect world in their minds, we might have a freer less judgemental one to live in!

Smoke those cigarettes and pay your fair share of taxes.
Your state government is depending on you to keep its governmnet afloat.

And the Wood Johnson foundation doesn't give a rats a$$ about anyones health, but billions in profit look soooo good.
To: SheLion
Get this, our government has just promised to raffle off a brand new SUV to people quitting smoking, I have no problem with SUV's, but the government is willing to substitute a small pollutant for a big one...... there is that logic again.

Smoke those cigarettes and pay your fair share of taxes. Already paying 10 times our fair share, thank you.

"WHERE will it ever end???"
There is no end. These guilt ridden miserable people will never be happy no matter how much they try to make us all miserable. Invest in lead.

MR.Johnson should be put in a CONCENTRATION CAMP.

Yes, you read how much money they are paying into 44 states to restrict tobacco and ban smoking, now you know why! It's for the MONEY! They know people won't stop smoking, so they figure they have a great thing going.

This is a great list to have when demanding quarterly reports under the data practices laws of our country to see who is actually getting paid. It's hard to hide anything on the net. You want it, search and there it is!
I copied that whole page for all those numbers. Your right: might be handy to have in the future. And with all the hits they got today, they might pull the information. I just thought of that.
