Go get em SheLion! These smoking gestapo nerds just make me want to barf.

The prissy little pssys bray and talk about 'clean air' , and want to use government to take our freedoms away, and some of them call themselves 'Conservatives'.

I hope I am still around when the other gestapo types comes calling for them because government is so very pervasive, and government will wind up in their faces if this stupid mentality doesen't change.

Not half as thankful as me. I would hate to have to complain about your smoke.

Your having one hell of a good time, aren't you?!  There is no getting through to you. You can flame me all you want and all my friends in here. But you know what?  All you are accomplishing is that "we think you are one damn idiot."

Flame me all you want. This is the LAST time I will respond to your stupid asinine remarks.  Have a good life "---- weed."

But just wait, you are the next tax victum. They are already putting the pieces together for a "Twinkies" tax. Then it will be your automobile with a miles driven tax. There will be no end to it.

Couch potato lifestyle is worse for your health than smoking

Taxing the tubby

Taxing fat foods or suing the industry are bad ideas. A new tax only gives the government another way to separate people from their money. If Americans learned anything from the tobacco lawsuit, it was politicians blew smoke when they promised to dedicate the $260 billion settlement on smoking-related expenses and tobacco cessation. And even with $100 million a year coming in from Big Tobacco, legislative Democrats still managed to turn billions in surpluses into a $1.5 billion deficit."

Smoke bans existed back when our country was founded. Somehow the founders didn't think it was a right that needed to be protected, thank God.

Tell VRWC_minion that HITLER was the only one that banned smoking back in 1938!  Then KLINTOON in 1998.

The prissy little pssys bray and talk about 'clean air' , and want to use government to take our freedoms away, and some of them call themselves 'Conservatives'.

Isn't it sad that one of our own comes into a Free Republic thread and trashed us?  I really think he was sent over here by the anti-smokers to harass us!

How can he call himself a Conservative when he does not believe in Free of Choice????  It's the American WAY!

He's a really sad case and I pity him.  I think he has deep-seated mental problems. Don't you?

SheLion,

This was posted by our friend VRWC_minion on another thread:-

My wife is still working on me. So far I have given up drinking, smoking, fatty foods, caffeine and wiskers in sink. Still on her list is staring at girls, socks on the floor, helping around the house and probably more than I know as of yet. In 100 years I'll be perfect.

Wow!! No wonder he's such a miserable SOB! And after all that nagging, he still carries on like a pork chop on smoking threads.

Strike another one off the list - he used to make me angry, but after reading this, I have nothing but pity for him. Poor "man".

You don't treat your man so mean, do you SheLion? I know my wife treats me rather much better.

I am so sorry. There was once an America where people were free, and smoked if they wanted to.

Kalifornistan and other places have determined that smoking is illegal, although they need the taxes to pay for benefits for illegal aliens so they can get more democRATS to vote.

I am stilling looking for that place in Colorado where Atlas finally shrugged. Where are you Dagney?

:-) I don't think your husband would like that, but I know what you're trying to say. No problem, take all the time you need. Special request: after doing the 50 states, could you do Japan too? Thanks.

Which fact ? that tobacco smoke is the vilest smell on earth or that smokers who complain about the taxes end up paying whatever they have to because they cannot control themselves ?
I've smelled a lot worse than tobacco smoke. Perhaps, like food, we have different tastes, or rather, smells that offend us. Certain colognes send my nose in a tizzy as well as dirty sweat or bad breath. And there is the flatulance that men seem to relish passing on and some women do too, only they sneak it in and we don't have a choice until it's too late. Smokers give you all kinds of choices but the antis don't want choices for smokers but for themselves.

Oh my GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anti smokers are the WORST!!!!!!  He quit SMOKING? Well he is a "repressed smoker."  And he hates the rest of us because we still enjoy it!!  It's a wonder he doesn't hate his forkin wife for doing this to him!  She's an ass, in plain English.

I bet he smoked LONG before he met HER. SHE must wear the PANTS in the family.

Pity.

You don't treat your man so mean, do you SheLion? I know my wife treats me rather much better.

Ohhhhhhhh Orwell..........Bubba and I both smoke!   Before and after EVERYTHING we do! heh!  We both love to smoke.  He agrees with me about the smoking bans and think they are ridiculous.  He thinks Mayor Bloomberg is an absolute ASS!  And there are only three places up here where we can go, ate, drink and smoke.  He's worse then ME about spending his money in an ANTI-SMOKING JOINT! He will not GO!  He supports my position in Forces Maine and also thinks our Governor King is an absolute ASS as well as the Partnership for a Tobacco Free Maine.

But thanks for opening my eyes about VRWC_minion.  He must not be much of a man if he can't up to a woman.  Even if it IS is wife. The bitch!!

There is nothing worse than a reformed smoker.

" You are just stealing money from the state treasury, stealing food from the mouths of hungry children, and stealing money from the hands of parents of hungry children who would rather use their money for something other than feeding their hungry children."

Sorry I'm late into this fight folks. So here goes...

With that quote comes the ignorance of what an individualist is. If you are so worried about the "state treasury" feeding the "hungry children" get up off your lazy a$$ and go feed them. How many church functions do you belong to? How many homeless or poor families do you feed? Until you say at least 1, on a daily basis, shut up. Your feeble attempt at an argument in that statement above just professess DUignorance, a disease we don't need on this board.

" I don't care if you quit or not. You can do it 'till you cough and gag yourself blue, just do it like civilized people with respect for others do with other repulsive things...do it elsewhere."

So if you have a B.O. problem, I have the right to sue you to have you restricted to say going out in public only between 10 p.m. to midnight daily? Because that's what you are saying I have the right to do. That pretty much keeps you in the 24 hour groceries, 7-11's and late movies. Better think about what you wish for.
