"What we ought to do is simple: refuse to vote for anyone for federal office who refuses to halt illegal immigration and deport those already here. If that means not voting, so be it. Even the lesser of two evils is still the lesser of two evils."

Please don't stay home....they use the non-voters to justify anything they want to say. Instead vote but vote for a third or write one in. THAT they can't explain away.

I agree whole heartly with you, that is the only way any thing is going to be done about this situtation, a fine big enough to deter hiring illegals is a step in the right direction.

There are three GOP candiates running here in the primaries, against an incumbent democrat.one did not have an email address.

I emailed the two GOP canidates that are running in the primaries about their positions on immigration. I listed 5 questions, from 245i to the death of the park ranger. I got one reply back, with answers to all questions, no to any ammensty, no to in state tution for illegals, no to open borders, yes to enforcing borders, so he will get my vote.

I know the record of the Dem rep who represents me, which is vote yes on any benefit for illegals.

Every one needs to email the canidates and find out their position. and vote for who ever is against any bill that benefits illegals.

." A massive or noticable change in our policies seems to create a huge firestorm in their public forums. "

Its time it created a huge firestorm in ours as well. Enough of the intimidation tactics. What is the difference between a minority temper tantrum and the local brat on the corner? The answer to both is ignore them.

I will be witholding my vote for Darryl Issa, Republican from California this November since he isn't against imigration but mainly because he supports the Hissbola (sp)and claims it's a non violent organization. He's a guarnteed winner so if 15% of the Republicans don't vote for him he still wins.

All incumbants take a hard look at the total vote cast against the votes for their office, it's very telling.

That is a good idea, but given who is running here I don't even have to email them for their positions, Scott Armey for congress and Coryn (sp?) for Senate, both RINOS. So until the Republican party in Texas can come up with something better I'll pass.

I went to the GOP first, if none had given me the right answers than I was going to ask the Democrats. And if they did'nt answer right, I will be honest, I did'nt know what I was going to do. lol

At least I had one, sounds better than where you are. I kept his email, and will use it later if I have to.

I don't know about Texas this time around. I don't believe the America First Party has a candidate but look for us next time. Check out AmericaFirstParty.org

Maybe you should add the word "legal" to your statement. Or does that matter to you?

For the life of me I do not understand why Republicans are afraid to be Republicans. Sometimes they are their own worst enemies.

Ok, I would willingly trade some of our lazy LEGAL citizens for some hard working immigrants.

So honest beliefs and principles are meaningless? The whole game is to get elected even if you have no integrity? Sorry, but I'd rather lose. I honestly believe that George Bush is a good man and wants to do what is right but he is listening to some very bad advice from his handlers. One of these days hopefully we will get a president who says "get lost" to his advisors. A president who does what is right, even if it means only 4 years in office.

I would like to see the republicans act less like the democrats and more like conservatives. At this stage, I don't see how Gore would have been any worse.

Most people outgrow that kind of thinking; some never do. You don't want Gore in the White House but you don't seem to realize that. You don't want another Democrat filling all the lifetime civil service positions with socialists like Clinton/Gore did but you don't seem to realize that. You don't want our military used for social engineering ever again but you don't seem to realize that. You don't want more and more taxes and fees at all levels of government but you don't seem to realize that. The Republicans may or may not fix immigration or abortion or endless tax increases, etc but the Democrats will NEVER fix them and will actively make them worse and then sell us out to the UN. But you don't seem to realize that. The list goes on and on.
