The governor terms them 'a menace to society' in outrage over memos.
SACRAMENTO -- California Gov. Gray Davis, saying it is now clear that Enron Corp. intentionally forced the state into a crippling power crisis last year, Thursday demanded that top Enron executives be sent to jail for "one of the most shameful acts of corporate greed in American history."

Davis has really stepped over the line.
I hope he regrets this comment!

Davis said. "It's like finding out that the Northridge earthquake was man-made." I'm sure you'll be telling us that soon enough, dipwad.

Davis is a day late. 18 months ago would have been an appropriate time to notice such irregularities. A lot of people did notice at the time, but the stock was flying high so who cared.

He needs to crawl back under his desk.

Oh, goodie-- with Enron execs in the slammer, it'll be easier to convict "Davis the Menace."
To: DJ88
Actually, in CA he may have a chance! He has proven to be a good Dem - pass all kinds of feel good rules and laws like price controls, over-manipulate everything he can get his hands on, create a disaster when reality fails to conform with his wishes, blame everyone else, especially business, then seek a bail-out from the Feds. He has been a perfect Dem governor!

Where was the Gov.? Oh, I see, he was playing with his goat. Gray was on the phone with Lay. Does Gray even play golf? With that temper, he would break more than a few clubs.

"Someone has to go to jail for this," Davis said, responding to news reports linking Enron trading strategies to supply bottlenecks and two days of rolling blackouts on the California grid last summer.
So I guess the envirowackos that blocked construction of new power plants deserve life sentences.....
