women are more likely to express an interest in going out with a man if they are told that other women also find him attractive.

The old rule: if you don't have a girlfriend, it's hard to get one - if you do, they're all over you.

Attractiveness may be the case in animals. But in humans, it's largely a decision made as follows:

A female will date the wealthiest man, her figure/face can attract
A male will date the most attractive female he can attract, with the income he has.

Income, not personality, looks, or charisma is the key determing factor. Can anyone name 1 super-model who is dating/married to an attractive busdriver, frycook, or other lower-wage earning male. If exceptions exist, the exception makes the rule.

Men have to share the blame when women choose the wrong men. We just stand by without saying anything when women we know choose the worse guy possible and the right guy is just down the hall and we know who he is. It happens every day.

And in many elections.

Some species go extinct, perhaps because of those female choices. Humans might be next to go.

Nope. I could have married someone that I found more physically attractive. I married for other reasons. Like working well together on projects, humor, and temperment. All physical beauty fades. Of course, I had to be older than 35 to figure that out.

Nothing really new here.

The parallels between mating habits in species on this planet are well documented.

Sometimes, you'll watch some nature show on PBS and see the similarities in ritual courtship, same as humans....The males showing off, posing, flirting and even fighting each other to impress the females.

As for human females being more "choosey", that's common knowledge, but their motivations in this contemporary culture are usually just as superficial and shallow as a man's notion of an "ideal mate."

I don't fault a woman for wanting to attach herself to the first man who can provide her with the greatest degree of comfort and security....I think that's instinctive, but to suggest that her "discriminatory process" of choosing a mate is on a different plane from a man's similar self-centered ambitions is pure bunk.

There's not a woman alive who'd pass up on a coniving, manipulative, millionaire husband for a caring, sensitive, "regular Joe" type guy....Don't even go there.

If it's a woman's choice, it's a woman's responsibility.

You must be joking.

Women are notorious for finding the "wrong man" and they do it deliberately....Women like "nice guys", but she'll pass you up at the first sign of a BAD BOY....Girls in plaid skirts notwithstanding!... They all wanna tame "the wild one" every chance they get and it's our obligation, as MEN, to disappoint them.

Bad boys have all the fun! ;)

What's that saying about "nice guys?"....Hmmmm.

Feast or famine. Usually feast here, though please don't tell anyone. How do I arrange for some reasonable number? The pace is killing me.

Please, FReeperettes, don't be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I beg you. This is no laughing matter. I mean it.
