Now That Bush Has Sold Us Out... What are we going to do about it? (vanity)

Posted on 03/13/2002 2:47:41 PM PST by Michael2001

Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.

Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

And who are you including when you say "the GOP" supports? All of the GOP or some of the GOP? How about breaking down all of that with some numbers, ie, how many GOP reps support each issue vs how many oppose. I think you will find that most of the GOP reps oppose most of the liberal issues.

Do you think most of the Republican voters want Republicans to act like democRATS when it comes to upholding the law? I say no and I'm willing to put it to the test by having the RNC ask its membership if they are willing to ignore the laws if it will help them regain the Senate and keep control of the House and Presidency. Are you willing to abide by the answer?

OK, so we've established that we are members of the same party and are on the same side. [And yes, Democrats DO debate as forcefully as you -- and ask the same questions!]

I believe that almost everything that is being done that shifts the Republican Party to the left and away FRom its REPUBLICAN Principles and Tenets is Absolutely wrong and will cause many many many more votes to be lost than it will ever gain. I believe it proven beyond doubt that when American voters are given the choice to vote for either a "Democrat" or a democrat [AKA RINO] -- they will vote for a "Democrat" every single time!

By the same token, I believe we need another Ronald Reagan prepared to stand on and for Our Beloved FRaternal Republic's Founding Law -- and that such men as he would be elected to every office with an average sixty per cent of the vote!

And I wish the Republican Party would ask us those questions.

And would dearly love to abide by the answers -- which are, of course, forgone conclusions.

Our Nation cries out for a return to Our Founding Law and you and I are of that Nation.

I know what I am doing about it. What are you?

FReegards

Cynical, nihilistic, and self-defeating? Look around, pal! How many countries on this planet offer real freedom? How many civilizations in the history of mankind have enjoyed real freedom by the masses? If you view me as cynical and self-defeating, then I see you as polyannish or even deluded.

Remember this! No one is ever going to GIVE you freedom. One must fight to get it and to keep it! Our founding fathers got it for us, but "we the people" are not fighting to keep it and, consequently, we are losing it. Sorry if that statement makes you feel uncomfortable.

Me:"Obviously you have never learned to read . . ."
You:"Thank you. I stopped reading right there since I refuse to engage in childish and rank stupidity."

I just proved my point, unable to read anything that might make you think, you simply take your marbles and go home. Oh, but I guess that would be childish and a little stupid.

By definition, full conservatives don't have any arguments, they are "conserving" the status quo of traditions, which they believe must always be right without argument. I am merely trying to point out to everyone that both conservative and libertarian titles are not representative of a Free Republic of ideas.

..... And you still haven't answered the question. Why should we trust a party and a leader who would KNOWINGLY help coverup crimes as serious as MASS MURDER and TREASON by members of the other party? Are you going to run away from this question like Bush/Ashcroft are running from the DNC crimes ....? </b?

You're right, I haven't.

I don't know that either our party or President Bush are actively doing that. I trust not.

President Bush was not my choice of candidate but he was our party's and I voted for him. Having been left with a meals on wheels military he is doing an incredible job of prosecuting the Terrorism Crusades -- um -- War.

And I believe that Janet Ashcroft who, just for starters, allowed himself to be defeated by a dead person in the most blatant bloody electoral fraud ever pulled in America, [Including the two KKKli'toon "elections"] is a stinking disgrace and not fit to hold the office of county dogcatcher. And that much of what you say about him is true and that his "buck" is Mr Bush's to explain or to wear!

Let start with tricky dick, didn't he give us EPA and a couple of other (education, energy) huge arms of government? Didn't he "open" China? I don't know why democrats hate him so, he greatly expanded the size and power of goivernment.

Reagan, was much much better, but he gave us the war on drugs and the war on drugs that trashes the bill of rights. The first Amnesty which was billed as a one time fix and promised to punish busineess that hired illegals (ya right).

Next was "read my lips" Bush and with him we got new taxes, "New world Order, WTO, NAFTA and the sellout of America.

Now we have junior encouraging Mexico to over run the Southwest, federalizing religious charities and federalizing public schools, not memtion campaign finance reform.

I realize that. IT is one of the bases for my observations and comment.

Remember this! No one is ever going to GIVE you freedom. One must fight to get it and to keep it!

Who said differently?

Oh yes, you did.

One post you say all is already lost and anyone against the tide is dog food. Next post you say fight fight fight.

I consider your comments and arguments, such as they are, to be exercises emotion on your part.

And now I have indulged you in addressing the issues coming from your fragile emotional mood swings.

The adults and competent people will get back to work now.

I received the same reply from the White House as you did. I know they did not read one word I wrote. I wrote President Bush against granting amnesty. I live in California and we are sick of the high taxes imposed on us because of illegal immigration. We've had one huge bond measure just passed,(Q) for the Police and Fire Departments for 600 million dollars, and now the school board is talking about another bond for the November 5 election. Prop BB was just passed for the schools, and they've already run out of money. It never ends, and I'm sick of it.

Yeah, it is lost. But I intend to go down swinging. Fight, fight, fight. There's no hypocricy in my words or instability in my emotions. If you could actually understand the words you are trying to read, you would have to agree. But it's so comforting to know that adults and competent people like you are getting back to work.

*Sigh*

MUST I POST THIS AGAIN???????

To: All

In the past year, the following "I won't vote for Bush if..." threads have been posted

"Bush to cave on Kyoto"

"Bush to cave on 2nd amendment rights"

"Bush to cave on tax reduction"

"Bush to cave on stem cell research"

"Bush to cave social security"

"Bush to cave ON and On and ON"

In every one of those examples Bush fought and got 90% of his demands met in Congress or in the case of Kyoto and UN funding for abortion acted on his and told the UN to go to hell. That is never enough, there is always the next "watershed decision" that many here dream up to avoid supporting a Republican and, make NO mistake it is the hated Republican that sticks in the craw of many here, that term is more hated by the libertarians, paleo-conservatives and assorted DU trolls than the term liberal has ever been subjected to.

It seems that every day there is a new "I won't support Bush if..." thread that generates a lot of outrage and yet when the actual "event" happens there is never a thread that retracts the hysteria exhibited earlier. There is NO way a politician will ever appease the single issue voter. Just as his steel tariffs have pissed off the free traders amongst us, it is what the " Buchanan America firsters" have been demanding and yet the AF faction on this site do not even acknowledge that Bush heard them, to the contrary, they whine it is too little too late.

Instead of all this whining and crocodile tears, just admit right out loud that nothing this man does will suffice and that he needs to be replaced with the best "conservative" candidate. However; the name of that candidate appears to be a closely guarded secret since no one has actually named this person because it surely cannot be anyone of the 1% vote getters that we know today.

End of rant

And I will say again what I said yesterday, I will be DAMNED if I will cast ONE VOTE for ANY CANDIDATE that gives the Democrats ONE MORE VOTE than they have this very minute.

If you choose to do so, let it be on YOUR head!!!
(And for the LOVE OF GAWD, TAKE YOUR VOTE, LEAVE, AND SHUT UP ABOUT IT)

For example, when was the last time the Democratic Party proposed a budget reduction, or eliminating a government bureacracy, or deporting ILLEGAL immigrants, or any conservative position? Never!

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Bush on Thursday proposed a three-year, $5 billion program to provide aid for developing nations

5 Billion! I don't think this is the way to reduce our budget.

I was aghast at the steel tariffs at first. Then I realized Japan and other countries would be able to sell cars cheaper than those produced by the UAW.

Bush let one Democrat union hurt another Democrat union. Works for me.

I know what I am doing about it. What are you?

Well one thing I am not doing is running from investigating crimes the democRATS committed just because that furthers the "agenda" of the republicans.

There is NO EXCUSE for not reopening the investigation of Filegate to find out how many files were actually taken, whose those files were, the disposition of those files currently and whether the information on them is still in DNC databases. We deserve a full accounting by OUR party.

There is NO EXCUSE for not getting to the bottom of the Riady non-refund and a number of other campaign finance violations. We need to stop the flow of illegal money into the coffers of the DNC because that money fuels the monster. The ONLY way to do that is to investigate and make an example of a few people. That is the only campaign finance reform that matters.

There is NO EXCUSE for not exhuming and autopsying the bodies of Vince Foster and Ron Brown. There is certainly enough evidence already to suggest that they did not die as the Clinton administration maintained to warrant such an investigation.

Find a wound in Foster's head where there is not to supposed to be one (but where evidence suggests there is) and not even the liberal media will be able to prevent such a discovery from becoming widely known. Find a bullet or an exit wound in Brown's head (as the evidence suggests) and you will destroy the democRAT party. It would be a MASS MURDER to prevent him from revealing TREASONABLE activities by the democRATS. It and the subsequent coverup would involve the highest levels of the democRAT party and not even the liberal media could keep the public from finding out. And unlike everything else discussed here, there would be no way to spin it. Furthermore, proving that either Foster or Brown was murdered would open up all the other scandals to reinvestigation because they were murdered to keep those scandals from coming to light. NO EXCUSES.

Re your post #257. How right you are. I believe that we are now ruled, not governed.

It matters not what we want, or what we say.

Yeah, Bush also hugged Ted Kennedy when he endorsed his $54 billion federal education bill, even though the Constitution does not say one word about education in general or authorizing the federal government to establish or control a federal education program. Oh yes, but that was "conservative" because Bush did it!

Oh, but don't you see The Grand Plan? Once we get Hillary for eight years, it'll be so horrible that the sheeple wake up...

By then, the Constitution will be so shredded, the Chinese will control our military, and We, the Sheeple will be in no position to elect anybody, let alone a Republican.
