Well I'm mad and I'm angry, and maybe that's why I can't think of an appropriate response. While all of us were prasing him for how he was dealing with the war on terror, Bush passes this Amnesty Bill, something that not even the sneaky Bill Clinton would do. This is one of the worse Bills to pass through Congress, it will hurt us in many ways, and ten years from now we will still be feeling it's effects.

Bush has, without a doubt in my mind, sold us out for the Hispanic vote. He sold us out because he can take our vote for granted (who will we vote for Al Gore?). Is he wrong? What do we do when the Republicans stop looking out for our interests? Is it time for a new party, or do we work within the party and try to root out the Republicans In Name Only (of which there are many)?

Excellent post! And isn't it just so coincidental how the Republican Party is the Party who is always compromising, appeasing, and stealing the Democrats' issues. If that strategy really worked to get more votes, then why don't the Democrats compromise, appease, and steal the Republicans' issues in order to get more votes?

For example, when was the last time the Democratic Party proposed a budget reduction, or eliminating a government bureacracy, or deporting ILLEGAL immigrants, or any conservative position? Never! It is only the Republican Party who "steals" issues. Accordingly, the only issues that are ever stolen are liberal issues. What a coincidence!

The power structure that has taken control of our government continues its relentless move to the Left. That is no longer surprising. But what continues to boggle my mind is how many really intelligent and patriotic people either don't see it or make excuses for it.

Yup since both parties simply the two heads of the same beast, voting for either is a mistake. W is selling us and the constitution out just as did Clinton. I see very little diference between the policies of the two. Compared to the policies of say Jefferson, Clinton and Bush are twins.

Bingo! The best way to monopolize, is to compete with yourself. Works in business and in politics. The "2 Parties" have been using this strategy and fooling the masses for decades. And guess what? It works!

Mind you, I am not criticizing the "2-Party System." Rather, I am criticizing the citizens for not recognizing what is occurring and how we are losing our liberties. Nonetheless, I believe it is already too late. We have gone too far.

Apparently the normal, natural, and expected condition for humans to exist, is to be controlled by others. This is the condition in which most of human civilization has subsisted. Persisting freedom, autonomy, and independence seem to be un-natural states. As such, I realize that my resistance to it their loss is an unwinnable fight against natural evolution.

Freedom is already lost, however, the illusion of freedom remains for many. Anyone or any entity who actually posed a legitimate threat to our 2-headed-one-party power monopoly would become "dog food" in a nano-second.

This cynical, self-defeating, nihilistic mindset is the greatest legacy of the liberals for their last 40 years of effort.

Actually, voting Republican does slow it down, slightly, but never causes it to reverse its course. Historically, when Republicans have been in power, the federal government grows by 3% and when the Democrats are in power, it grows by 5%. It's either a slow death or a slightly slower death for freedom.

Stopping Democrats is no small achievement. Had it not been for Republicans, Affirmative Action quotas would be enforced with a vengeance and homosexuals would be included in them, home schooling would still be illegal in most states,we would all be under socialized medicine, tax rates would max out at over 70%, churches would be taxed, handguns would be illegal, the "fairness" doctrine would still exist and there would be no conservative talk radio,welfare would still be an entitlement and 7 million would not have gotten off the roles, the budget would have never been balanced,the NEA would have won and public schooling would begin "at birth", and on and on.

The left is very clear about what they want. Only thing stopping them from getting it is the Republican party.

OK how about this,
1th A. freedom of speech and religion. Campaige finance reform GOP passed it. Hate laws GOP all for it. etc.
2cd right to bare arms. GOP passed all kinds of gun laws, favors gun control.
4th, right to be secure in ..... GOP's war on drugs completely trashed the 4th. No knock raids, warrentless searchs etc.
5th double jeparty.. GOP supports trying people twice, once state courts and then again federal court.
6th public trial. GOP supports IRS courts, tell me IRS courts are not unconstitutional.
9th is a joke, GOP pays zero attention to the 9th
10th is another joke, GOP pays zero attention to the tenth.
Yup voting GOP is really the smart conservative thing to do.
