Rumsfield Says Nuke Leak Violated Law!!
FoxNews

Rumsfield just said that the leak to the LA Times violated the law and that leaks in Washington was a disease. My only thought is YES YES YES! The leaker needs to be tried for treason. We cannot improve our image among other peoples if we are constantly back-stabbed by our own senators and media.

"Bottom line, the US is more secure with a mix of strategic AND tactical nuclear weapons. "So would every other country but then would we be more secure? Our very superior conventional forces might then not be that superior. I prefer battles in our strong suit.

LOL, good one.

Regardless of where the leak originated, there should also be laws restricting our own back-stabbing press from releasing confidential information that was not intended to be disclosed. This has nothing to do with the freedown of press, it has to do with governmantal confidential information that they should be required a clearance before posting it in their newspapers.

And Daschle wonders why he is not in the loop and kept informed? I'll tell you why - there are enemies of this country in the Congress. How stupid do they think Bush is? It is obvious - if you want an operation to be successful and save lives of our own soldiers - don't tell the congressmen. They want to play politics and don't care about the success of the war effort.

These people need to be held accountable. If they can't keep their mouths shut - they should not be elected in the future.
I wonder if Condit should be allowed to stay on the Intelligence Committee since he is apparently not to remain in office. How tempting to "sell" our secrets. If he has done the stuff we hear about - he does not need to be in a place of trust. See - the Democrats don't really care about the security of the country or he would not be on that committee.

It's almost as if... as if... the pentegon STILL has that secret office of disinformation running at full speed ahead. Very similar to recon by fire. Firing into the brush at random CAN make the enemy reveal his position.
It is useful to look at the nations who are protesting, and how. It is useful to receive "atta boys" and "how can we help?" from other nations via back channels.
This equals a strategic leak. Looks like one, smells like one, walks like one, talks like one. When there is ANY doubt, there is NO doubt.

"reports from last night were that the leaker is a staff member of one of the California Senators."So someone leaked this information to their staff?

"His latest demand;Tom Ridge answering to congress instead of The President." It's a trap. If they can get Ridge to answer to Congress, then they can demand Cheney do the same thing. That's my guess.
Ridge has been up testifying a lot, he just won't bow to this particular request. I don't know what the difference is, but there is one apparently in how this is being worded.

I heard that on Politically Correct yesterday, and that idiot Maher actually thinks that Bush got one of them to purposely leak it. That guy is clueless.
Did Hewitt give additional info. (other than the fact that it was an LA Slimes story) on why he thinks it was Boxer or Feinstein?

'There are elaborate traps of disinformation available to find out who the leakers are."Wouldn't bother me a bit if the FBI bugged all reporters phones, faxes and computers. 99.9% of them are anti-our best interests.

"...this should at least give the NSA, CIA, or FBI a mandate to start investigations on all members of the senate (especially Calif. senators)".I just wonder why you can't Sue/Force the Journalist to state their source---(of course they'd refuse) and the Journalist would be held in contempt and be ordered to Jail. That's what I think they should do to start!Go and Get them Mr. Rumsfeld, you know "which people" had access to this information anyway,so it seems to me,you're halfway done already!
