I heard it as well. Doubt anything will happen to the traitor.
To: TADSLOS
This should be interesting. Hope that Bush does not cave in and allows those that leaked be punished.

"I heard it as well. Doubt anything will happen to the traitor."Of course nothing will happen, heck, an amendment to CFR suggesting that congress not violate the 1st Amendment in crafting CFR was voted down in spite of the oath that all representatives take to protect and defend the Constitution...and they're all still walking around free!

Yeah, but this sounds like a Congressional Demon-rat aide leak, "without knowledge" of his/her boss.
A typical 'rat ploy since their other tactics have failed miserably.
To: Naspino
I guess is that the congressional leaker is from California.
To: Naspino
Rummy, never mind who leaked it, can the idiots who thought it up and replace them with some grownups.

What leak is he referring to? The Targeting one or the one on Drudge that talked about the concern that a nuke was present?

We cannot improve our image among other peoples if we are constantly back-stabbed by our own senators and media. Get use to it Rummy. This is Politics and the Dems are running scared with GW's 82% approval rating. They will stab you in the back every chance they get.
To: Recovering_Democrat
It doesn't really matter if an aide leaked the information or not. The Congressman is responsible for his office and should not share highly classified information with anyone he cannot trust. Congress is crying about not be kept informed, but they have been proven untrustworthy.

Only idiots would consider using nukes against someone who uses a WMD against us? Is that what you mean?

"Rumsfield just said that the leak to the LA Times violated the law..."
The Pucker Factor for some (sucker of a) Senate aide just increased a notch or two...

Looks like there's somebody who is VERY ticked off. This leak came from a leftist who wanted to torpedo this. I don't think it will.
Go get `em, Rumsfeld!!

Leaky Leahy was the first person who came to mind.I'd be willing to bet it was at little tommys behest.I have to admit, that in the face of an 81% approval rating, its fun to watch the dems and libs flail about with no direction at all.The leak shows just how low they are willing to stoop and how scared they are of people like W and Rumsfeld.Honesty and morality cant be found in the senate offices of little tommy and Leaky leahy.

Senators Leahy and Daschle, you stand accused. How do you plead? To thier best recollection, they don't recall giving that information to anyone in the news media........

I guess is that the congressional leaker is from California. That is a good guess since it appeared in the LA Times. However, I am not so sure that geography has much to with it. For example, Ron Brownstain of the LA Times has DNC connections around the country and routinely publishes proganda from DC and even acted like an agent for Algore.
My guess is that this is a person who was privy to the report and has connections to Mr. Arkin, the originator of the article for the LA Times and most likely has an anti-nuke history, if not anti-intelligence, anti-defense, and anti-American.
To: Naspino
Isn't the only way to discover the leaker via the reporter who reported it?

October 11, 2001:
On Friday, Mr Bush signed a memo that limits briefings to the Democratic and Republican leaders of both houses of Congress and to the chairmen and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, "until you receive further notice from me".
A memo from Mr Bush said the limits were aimed at "maintaining the proper level of confidentiality for the success of our military, intelligence and law enforcement operations".
"I want Congress to hear loud and clear that it is unacceptable to leak classified information when we have troops at risk," he told reporters at the White House after meeting the German Chancellor, Gerhard Schroeder. "If you receive a briefing of classified information, you have a responsibility, and some members of Congress did not accept that responsibility."
The White House press secretary Ari Fleischer repeatedly declined to cite a specific example of unauthorised disclosures which had prompted the President's concern, saying only that "it's a reflection of the fact that our nation is now at war, and the rules have changed".
But a congressional aide said the President was particularly outraged by an article in The Washington Post on Friday that asserted that "intelligence officials have told members of Congress there is a high probability that terrorists associated with Osama bin Laden will try to launch another major attack on American targets here or abroad in the near future".
Source
I have the feeling that Bush is pretty mad about this one...they have all been warned before...and whoever leaked the info will pay.
