Hey President Bush, do you know how to say "I'm a one-term President" in Spanish?

I wish he wouldn’t speak in Spanish because it’s so bad. The Mexicans may interpret his awful Spanish to say, “All my United State are belong to you!”

"I told the Congress that I want to make sure that the Mexican citizen here is well-respected," Bush said. "And one way to do that is to pass 245I, which will allow for families to be reunited."

My nonsequitor detector just burned out.

Bush said. "My attitude toward Mexico is that I want Mexico to succeed

Yes....and? I'm trying to figure out how this amnesty bill helps them succeed.

Question, what is a PBT?

Here's an idea W, why don't you make sure that the rights of legal American citizens are respected first before you go giving away the store to the illegals?

If these people are legalized the first thing they'll demand is minimum wage and the second thing they'll demand is unemployment benefits when they're layed off because the employer can't afford them at minimum wage.

This is far more serious than most people understand. An excerpt of an urgent notice I got last night:

Word is that Bush is to the point of being obsessed over this, and he will definitely force 245(i) through the House and Senate within the next two weeks. I mean … voices (representing Bush) are being raised on Capitol Hill, fists are pounding -- I kid you not. For some reason, Bush feels he absolutely HAS to have this.

And:

One reason may be that he apparently believes that Mexico may be on the verge of collapse. He may be planning to offer 245(i) as a kind of “safety valve” to Fox for illegal aliens from Mexico

Bush wants to be able to present this to Fox on March 22nd. The gloves are all off now, and you have to recognize that this guy is totally against the original people of the US.

At this point in history, with California and Texas headed for ethnic Mexican majorities, I would say that the U.S. is over with. All we can do now is try to stop this guy from turning the rest of our country into the nightmare that is Mexico. Please call as many Senators and Congressmen that you can. And the President's line. He just got handed his head over Richard Riordan. I was hoping that would be a wake up call to him to reverse course. But he appears to be hardheaded.

If he gets the 245(i) exemption, he will have gotten something that was explicitly closed in 1996 by the Republican congress, and successfully defeated again last year by a firestorm of conservative opposition. Watching Judd Gregg argue against Dashcle on this was incredible. If Bush gets his way, it will be against the interests of every Republican Senator, and most Congressmen. Please call.

We are not Mexico. We are not Mexicans. We are Americans.

That tune may play well in Mexico but in the heatland of America it has nothing but sour notes.

>>"Let me talk about Mexico right quick," Bush said.

"...I look forward to working with el Presidente Fox on how best to make sure our relationship is strong."<<

Wow. Bush is getting almost as good as Slick Willy at going into his "slack-jawed yokel" act while selling his snake oil.

Hmmmm....who else is running in 2004?

Sprinkling his speech with Spanish, President Bush wooed Hispanic voters Wednesday by renewing his support for an amnesty bill for illegal immigrants.

Does this Amnesty Bill as proposed give amnesty to all illegals in the country at the time of passage, including not only Mexicans but also those from other countries?

These threads are always an embarassment to Free Republic. Anyone who fears that a newly arrived immigrant from Mexico will take their job should get the hell off of Free Republic and learn a marketable, professional skill.

When I drive through a fast food order line, when I pass a landscaping crew, when I see that the overnight stock crew at Cub Foods are comprised entirely of Hispanics - I don't despair. I celebrate America. People working hard, in the most dismal and back breaking entry-level service jobs, to build a life and future for themselves and their families. American stuff.

These people are here. There is a problem at hand. The Bush plan is saying ... apply for citizenship, come out of your hiding places and illegal status, make your application for citizenship legally and you can remain here in a special residency status. What an evil, back stabbing outrage that common sense approach demands, and by the way, I'm never voting for Bush again.

We've got plenty of room in America for people willing to work hard to support their families. Plenty of room. It's a shame all these hard working Mexicans never discovered Free Republic, they have no idea what a miserable Gulag of oppression and enslavement the United States of America has become. They, their family and friends are grateful, happy and optimistic, what a bunch of dumb-ass suckers. They're not even real conservatives.

If anyone here fears that a newly arrived, Spanish speaking Mexican is poised to take YOUR job, that's far more a pathetic indictment on YOU than a transgression on part of the Mexican. Cry everyone a river, someone was bitter and threatened when your raggedy-assed ancestors stumbled off the boat too. BAH!!
