Word is that Bush is to the point of being obsessed over this, and he will definitely force 245(i) through the House and Senate within the next two weeks. I mean voices (representing Bush) are being raised on Capitol Hill, fists are pounding -- I kid you not. For some reason, Bush feels he absolutely HAS to have this.
And:
One reason may be that he apparently believes that Mexico may be on the verge of collapse. He may be planning to offer 245(i) as a kind of safety valve to Fox for illegal aliens from Mexico
Bush wants to be able to present this to Fox on March 22nd. The gloves are all off now, and you have to recognize that this guy is totally against the original people of the US.
At this point in history, with California and Texas headed for ethnic Mexican majorities, I would say that the U.S. is over with. All we can do now is try to stop this guy from turning the rest of our country into the nightmare that is Mexico. Please call as many Senators and Congressmen that you can. And the President's line. He just got handed his head over Richard Riordan. I was hoping that would be a wake up call to him to reverse course. But he appears to be hardheaded.
If he gets the 245(i) exemption, he will have gotten something that was explicitly closed in 1996 by the Republican congress, and successfully defeated again last year by a firestorm of conservative opposition. Watching Judd Gregg argue against Dashcle on this was incredible. If Bush gets his way, it will be against the interests of every Republican Senator, and most Congressmen. Please call.
We are not Mexico. We are not Mexicans. We are Americans.
Thanks for the ping Regulator. This doesnt surprise me at all. Bush II is even more of a Horses A$$ than Bush I. He knows exactly what he is doing and his intentions of merging the U.S. with the 3rd world hellhole that is Mexico couldnt be clearer.
This Amnesty and his refusal to protect our borders or enforce federal immigration laws is a major breach of his sworn oath of office to protect citizens from all threats foreign and domestic.
I believe its time to start thinking about impeaching Bush. Another 3 years of this guy at the helm and it may be too late to hold this country together.
What is wrong with Bush? Doesn't he understand what the implications are of granting amnesty to millions of people who broke into the country? I suppose he does, but forgets this is America, he was elected to represent Americans, not Mexicans or anyone else.
The strange thing is whenever these politicians want something to pass in Congress, they'll go on tv and talk about how the polls say they're in favor of such and such. But even though polls here say the public overwhelmingly is against this, they ignore them.
