CAUSE OF GIRL'S DEATH COULD REMAIN MYSTERY
Police say they may never know how Danielle van Dam died, or when. The seven-year-old girl disappeared from her San Diego home February first. Authorities are now confirming that a child's body found by volunteer searchers Wednesday is that of the missing child. The district attorney says an autopsy performed confirmed her identity yesterday. The identification was made through dental records because of the condition of the body. Medical examiners are trying to determine the cause of death, but Police Chief Dave Bejerano says it's possible that we'll never know how, or when she was killed. A neighbor has been charged with kidnapping and murdering her. Authorities say they found the girl's blood on his clothing and in his motor home. He has pleaded innocent.

He was charged with possession of child porn, so either they determined the girls were under 18, or they found more explicit and obvious underage stuff later.

Word is computer file. The same trash I get everyday most likely.

It does seem strange that they "can't tell by looking" if it's kiddie porn. If they can't tell how is Westerfield supposed to know? Maybe that whole charge is BS.

Divorce records are public aren't they? Wills are public..hmm..I never took a family law class so I don't know bout that one.

PS, if you were referring the FBI study/convictions of online pedophiles that got caught, most were upper middle class males.... Not all but most. I was shocked when I read that. The operative word here is "ONLINE". Pedophiles come from every corner of society in the real world.

I guess we will have to wait till trial and see if they offer it up as evidence! If they don't, we know why.

Hey, if ya'll want to get along, ya shouldn't call people names..It seems like ya'll are asking for him to ''yell back''. I'm surprised the moderators allow it.

No, I asked you to tell me that they did not go out. NOT: do not tell me they did. See the difference?

The divorce decrees are public documents so I'd think the media could have gotten their hands on them already. The judge didn't seal those, did he?

Did you miss my other post? The one that discussed agreement? :)

Sorry Valpall, but you stepped into this one!!!! LOL
A new bit previously unknown to me. And explains income speculations.
Ahem... part time book sales rep can be and frequently is an extremely lucrative activity, especially in a upper middle class area, with college educated parents will to spend money on books for their children. Free and marvelous vacations are often awarded top sellers as incentives by MLM publishing companies such as Usborne, Dorling Kindersley and Books and Beyond.
Yeah, and it is also a nice way to meet new customers, in the comfort and intimacy of their own homes??
Can you imagine.......
Ding-Dong, "Hi, I am Brenda, I am with ENYA' HOME BOOK CLUB, and have I got a book for you!!"

Are any of the Van Damm's swinging friends going to be questioned?

Divorce files are public record, however some parts may be sealed as confidential...unusual but possible...need to know where he lived when he filed for divorce...I think the news media would have already checked that angle...
To: crypt2k
Wow! I guess the question is "Why was he stupid enough to keep it all and let the police in to search twice without a warrant?"
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
Maybe the girls were over 18 or he thought so and didn't think he was breaking any laws. Who knows ???? If I were in Westerfield's' shoes I would have thrown out anything that wasn't G-rated and would have ditched the Motorhome in Mexico. He seems to have no consciousness of guilt.

If they are public like wills are, then I doubt seriously that the prosecutor tried to enter it. I would not be surprise if this guy's background is fully investigated including previous marriages and divorces.
To: FresnoDA
"and I agree with many freepers that the guy has evil eyes."
Ooooooo! The old evil eye!!
To: wirestripper
He has been charged - they will have to offer it in evidence or drop the charge.

Cute!
Seriously though, has anyone found any web references to the VD's for instance personal website or even online advertisements for mates?
I have been looking, but only end up with headline referrals and such.
I was listening to an LA talk station Friday and someone said there where picture in a gay magazine depicting same sex struff in the VD/s home published well prior to all of this notoriety. Anybody else hear that?
