An Eagle Scout who was mistaken for a bank robber and shot in the face by an FBI agent in Pasadena on Friday remained in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night.

Joseph Charles Schultz, 20, was shot at close range about 6 p.m. Friday when FBI agents searching for a bank robbery suspect pulled over his girlfriend's car.

Schultz, who lives in the 7900 block of Seabreeze Drive in Orchard Beach in Anne Arundel County and works with fiber optics for a local medical company, has no connection to the bank robbery, officials said.

You say, "There is nothing that will stop this."

I have to respectfully disagree. What will stop this is the same thing that stopped the abuse of those who wished and desired freedom back in 1775. Nothing less. To be free, one must be willing to fight, die and if need be kill. No government is going to give freedom to it's people, why should they. If a people is not willing to fight to be free, what gives them the right to be free?

So, I guess in essence, I agree with you, "There is nothing that will stop this". For, there does not appear to be many that would be willing to even vote for freedom, therefore ruling out any possibility of taking freedom by force.

Do i(uncapitalized purposefully) mind dying a slave to the government of these Untied States? No not really, for as the Lord has so well told me, I am but a traveler here, my home is with him. But, would I join in to fight for freedom? No where in the word of God does it say that we can not work or even fight to improve our lot, to be free of the yoke of slavery.

No criminal charges, one civil settlement, litigation pending. It was a stupid mistake with improper procedure being primarily responsible.

Dane,
This is a first, we actually agree. The agent (shooter) should be strung up and thrown in with the rapists and sodomizers for his actions but this kind of thing will/does happen.

In fact, your comment and apparent disregard for the poor kid who was shot is sickening, you filthy pig. Maybe you should do one of those suicide by police things so your family can collect $$? Time wasted on Dane. He'd rather be in that agent's jackboots pulling the trigger, rather than admit they could do anything wrong. Blackbird.

"No police or law enforcemwnt agency will ever be perfect. This family will sue and probably win a big reward, but that won't stop the cop haters from doing a "clinton like blood dance" with their replies painting all cops as jack booted thugs."

Get a life. What do you propose we do? Give the shooter a medal?

To make matters worse he has promoted a female FBI agent into the number
three slot at FBI, she happens to be minority, eight years I believe in FBI.

Idiotic statement.  The BATF itself has
proved that old  and white is no guarantee
against blockheaded and deadly. I don't want to
your opinion of Condoleeza Rice, either.

</font color=brown>"We are going to hear, aren't we, that the agent who negligently fired the round into the young man's face was a chick, right?"

Damn, I must be slipping. If the AP fails to specify the sex of the shooter, you can almost bet the house, the farm and the dog that it was a she. This is what happened in Philly when that lady cop gave a schoolkid a 9mm reverse mohawk.

I'm suspecting that, too.

When they give the address and type of car is it usually a minority? I read that someplace. Do you think the shooter might be a female and the victim a minority Eagle Scout? Wouldn't that cause a news blackout or something?

The shooter, if female, is probably a radical feminist who probably didn't meet the hiring standards for the FBI, but she had "friends" in the Congress.

She would have shot the Eagle Scout because he did not conform to her political world view. You better believe Maryland's female senator is getting her jollies reading these accounts over and over.

Further suppord for this being an "ND" is the shot wasn't centered on the head, despite a very short distance from the muzzle to the target. I believe we'll find the agent did not intend to fire. This really goes back to training, which is apparently inadequate, IMHO.

And what accounts for them leaving the kid handcuffed face down on the ground bleeding to death, refusing to allow medical attention for an hour, until they realized they'd shot an innocent?

This was a clusterf'ck, bigtime.

Thanks for the update. I translate your answer to mean, yes. he got off scott free. Anyone else but a government thug would be facing manslaughter charges at least.

If the FBI is consistent, this agent will get a medal, just like the one who shot Randy Weaver's wife to death for aiming at him with her baby.

Federal Bumbling Imbeciles.

There are many people who would make really great cops, but for the most part, they aren't drawn by the job.

So, you end up with a preponderance of currently on-duty policemen who either couldn't get into the marines, or guys who got picked on in high school, and guys who generally need a gun and a badge just to feel important.

Sadists, mouth-breathers, rapists, criminals, tyrants, and microcephalic social democrats. Just ask Frank Serpico.
