An Eagle Scout who was mistaken for a bank robber and shot in the face by an FBI agent in Pasadena on Friday remained in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night.

Joseph Charles Schultz, 20, was shot at close range about 6 p.m. Friday when FBI agents searching for a bank robbery suspect pulled over his girlfriend's car.

Schultz, who lives in the 7900 block of Seabreeze Drive in Orchard Beach in Anne Arundel County and works with fiber optics for a local medical company, has no connection to the bank robbery, officials said.

Who can blame them? Der Fuhrer told them to do it! They were only following orders!

This scumbag will probably get a "black mark" on his "permanant record" and not even be fired.

But hey. Silver lining and all that. Now there are two more kids in America who loathe the political police.

"Some of that percentage are predators. Many, however, have just run afoul of bad laws."

You may not mean it that way, but you come off sounding like an apologist for criminals.

Ah yes, the typical hackneyed cliched pablum. Nobody's perfect, everybody makes mistakes, you aren't perfect you have no right to judge blah blah blah. Hell, Bill Clinton couldn't do it better. As usual you want to excuse potential criminal actions of a federal agent and sweep the corruption under the rug. Obviously you not only think police are above the law, but you think they should be excused without investigation. I have to say I don't think much of people that aid, abet, and apologize for criminal behavior. You got a problem with the LAW? You're either for it or against it.

"The suspects were all cuffed and comfortably seated in the back seat of the cruiser within fifteen minutes. Not a shot was fired."

I get the feeling that if all the suspects were shot dead, Dane would say the cops were just having a bad hair day.

"...An 8-year-old Whitmore Lake boy is facing criminal charges for pointing a toy gun at three other youngsters and threatening to shoot them...."

From a parallel thread---the problem is that the FBI agent will probably not face any charges.

We are going to hear, aren't we, that the agent who negligently fired the round into the young man's face was a chick, right?

This happened at Waco as well - give a woman a machine gun, or one of those semi-auto fire jobs that bang out two or three rounds in succession with a single trigger pull, and you have a walking, talking mistake underway.

When is someone among the federales going to buy women heavier weapons that they can actually handle and not simply abuse by killing children?

A nation of sheep believe they're being protected by the wolves.

To an extent, the sheep are correct. The wolves can usually be relied on to resist the encroachment of other packs of wolves. This doesn't really change the situation of the sheep, though, since they still get to provide supper for whatever pack of wolves is in charge at any given time. The wolves don't mind the occasional challenge, since it gives them an opportunity to show the sheep how good they are at their job.

Time for you to appreciate what our flag represents or move to Canada.

Excuse me?

I don't need a lecture on what our flag represents from an insolent intellectual piker, but thanks anyway. I already fought for it and watched comrads die over it. Would you mind telling me what what you've done to support your delusions that you somehow love this country more than I, or that you could in your wildest dreams could have something to teach me about what our flag represents?

Sorry but the little statist do-goodies like yourself are in the minority around here (as is evidenced by this thread), so you move to Canada. You'll find many people like yourself enjoying themselves with a jar of vaseline in hand and a bureaucrat proudly postitioned behind them.

Doesn't your little poo-poo hole hurt yet from all that bending over?

It could also mean that most of the criminals in the rest of the world are walking around free.

I don't have a problem believing that this is probably the case.

Obviously not, seems to be a rather large number of conservatives at this site that are also outraged about the FBI conduct in this country.

My opinion about the FBI comes from my personal experience of dealing with the FBI and DOJ over the past 8/9 years in Maryland & Florida.

So what are you basing your observations on ?

And this type of conduct by the FBI doesn't outrage you?

That's an interesting comment, just what do you think our flag represents? Do you think that a shooting like this should be excused? What if the tables had been turned, and the young man who was shot had been carrying a legal, concealed weapon, and on seeing that he was being attacked by men in civilian clothes and carrying weapons, had shot and killed one or more of the FBI agents. What would be your response to that?

Was the agent's conduct appropriate? If not, what should happen to him?

Shut down your dope-smuggling operation, huh? I hate it when that happens.
