80,000 Freepers and Growing - Freepathon

When Jim Robinson started Free Republic in September, 1996 to expose the corruption in government and particularly the Clinton Whitehouse, he was alone. Now six years later, Free Republic has 80,000 registered members and who knows how many visit this site often, just to keep up on the latest conservative thinking.

Folks, you all know where this is going, Free Republic is a user supported website and it is time to support it. Four times a year we have this freepathon to donate a few dollars to pay for the bandwidth and expenses necessary to keep Free Republic online, and we do so with gratitude and cheer because of what is offered and accomplished by the existence of Free Republic.

I'm fortunate in my friends, some of whom coould be my own grandparents, they consider my daughter as one of their own.

All kids need is love .. doesn't matter who it comes from .. and it sounds like you have plenty of friends to fill her life with lots of loving people ..

I couldn't call it any better. My daughter talks about her grandparents all the time - she has never met them because my parents won't acknowledge her. I am so thankful to the two men that do care about her - her godfather's father and my former business partner.

Our children and Grand Children are one of the main reasons we need a strong Free Republic. Our donations to Free Republic are like a buying a good insurance policy for our children's re their freedom and their future!

I disagree with you - our children and grandchildren are THE ONLY reason we need a strong Free Republic.

We lost her less than a month after we got married, she never even knew.

You do not know how much I wish my daughter had a grandfather like you!!!!!!!!!

My husband's parents are both gone and my parents don't even acknowledge my existense, let alone that of my daughter. A year ago I sent a picture in a card and I wrote she's been asking about her grandparents. Nothing. It's tearing me apart - not for me, I couldn't care less - but I think my daughter should have the kind of grandparents I had.

Never mind anything I just said. re-reading it I realized, the last thing on earth I want is unwilling relatives for my child - I had enough of them when I was growing up.
