When Jim Robinson started Free Republic in September, 1996 to expose the corruption in government and particularly the Clinton Whitehouse, he was alone. Now six years later, Free Republic has 80,000 registered members and who knows how many visit this site often, just to keep up on the latest conservative thinking.

Folks, you all know where this is going, Free Republic is a user supported website and it is time to support it. Four times a year we have this freepathon to donate a few dollars to pay for the bandwidth and expenses necessary to keep Free Republic online, and we do so with gratitude and cheer because of what is offered and accomplished by the existence of Free Republic.

Free Republic does not charge a membership fee or get supported by a government grant. No, people from across the World make donations large and small because they see the value of Free Republic. Actually his older sister knows where most everything is. I'm sure that he will be like his dad and will know where everything is and how it works.

The other grand dad lives on the East Coast has a new wife, #3, who is younger than his daughter, the mother of our grand children. He could care less about these wonderful grand kids, and that is his problem.

It seems like young kids, toddlers and babies recognize the friendly grandparents even if they aren't their grand parents. My wife and I seem to attract these little ones like magnets attracting pieces of metal. Sometimes we may resemble their Grandparents and often they really don't see their grandparents and just sense something with us! My wife calls it the Grandparent pherome.

Our children and Grand Children are one of the main reasons we need a strong Free Republic. Our donations to Free Republic are like a buying a good insurance policy for our children's re their freedom and their future!

You're granddaughter sounds exactly like my daughter!!! And there is a grandson in the mixture----you're a good man!

I just thank goodness that my husband has no more desire to have another child than I do. It is all we can do to keep up with the one we've got!!!

The names may change through the generations because of the females of a family, but the history doesn't change. My daughter only need go back 6 generations to her Uncle - Nathan Hale. She will never be permitted to tolerate revisionist history. I didn't get it as a kid, and my husband got thrown out of most history classes because he wouldn't tolerate it (his parents stuck up for him).

Like I said earlier - I don't hang out at FR justbecause of the FRiendships I've made!

Thanks, we have voted for so many things only to have them overturned by the liberal Judges put in office during the Clinton years.

It makes many wonder, why bother to vote.

Our system is so overloaded supporting all these illegals and they just keep coming (because our borders are so open) and taking (SSI) and infiltrating our local government, it seems our hands are tied.

God willing the fair and just will overcome this injustice, but only when the Republicans can overcome the liberlal DemicRATS.

I'm a conservative up in the wine country. The wine country that is loaded with super rich elite Nanny Fascists who own a lot of the wineries or control the guy who owns them and is their hubby or boy toy! The wine country that is ruled by elitist envirals who hate humans.

We are also surrounded by illegals and the druggies from the the 60's. In fact many are our elected druggies.

So I'm with you.

When someone flames Kali, I ask myself the following: Am I a demonicrat, an illegal alien, an American hater from Follywood, did I ever vote for Boxer, ChiFi or Davis, do I advocate abortion and free drugs, do I hate America and blame it for 9/11. Since I can answer no to all of these questions, those flames don't apply to me.

Don't let the flames bother you, they aren't intended for you or I!

You have to vote. If we have apathy, they will win. It's hard and frustrating, we all experience it, but we can't stop fighting! Free Republic is a perfect place to communicate with like minded people, and at all the California Freepers you know are with you. Look what the liberals would do if they had complete control! What I have a problem with are all the people that complain about FreeRepublic and the money it takes to run it.

I have the same problem. Compared to some other folk, my contiribution is diddlysquat - but on the other hand it is a whole heck of a lot more than some of the naysayers that show up on these threads.

The contributions are totally voluntary and totally up to the donor to reveal. I just wonder how much the naysayers have EVER contributed. And we've had one just being a nitpicker on this thread - she's driven me crazy. But I don't want to chance being banned or even suspended from what I really want top say. (BADJOE did a pretty good job!)

As I said before - If every registered FReeper would give $1 dollar a month ($12 per year) we wouldn't be doing this thing every quarter. At that rate I figure I'm supporting 10 FReepLoaders.

My Mother in Law has a severe case of senile dementia or a rapid onset of Alzheimers.

My prayers are even more so with the entire family. We went through this with my mother in law.

Please make sure her children are keeping track of the meds she is beiing given. Over medication pushed my MIL over the edge and then the instant stop of them led to her death.

The only other thing I can say is, be there for your wife. Its going to be rough.
