80,000 Freepers and Growing - Freepathon

When Jim Robinson started Free Republic in September, 1996 to expose the corruption in government and particularly the Clinton Whitehouse, he was alone. Now six years later, Free Republic has 80,000 registered members and who knows how many visit this site often, just to keep up on the latest conservative thinking.

Folks, you all know where this is going, Free Republic is a user supported website and it is time to support it. Four times a year we have this freepathon to donate a few dollars to pay for the bandwidth and expenses necessary to keep Free Republic online, and we do so with gratitude and cheer because of what is offered and accomplished by the existence of Free Republic.

Free Republic does not charge a membership fee or get supported by a government grant. No, people from across the World make donations large and small because they see the value of Free Republic. So if you're one that appreciates this site and want to see it continue, please send in a few dollars to help keep it alive.

HeeHee! Thanks for posting this, Dio! Hmmmm-- if, whatever she is upset about, was said about Clinton? Does that mean that she was not upset about the things that were said about Clinton? (I'm assuming 'sonnen' is a woman/girl/chick. She sounds like one) If a TV script uspets her, how does she feel about real life?

Thanks, backhoe for the bump and the thread. I want to encourage everyone to support Free Republic by either sending in your pledge of financial support or if you can't do so to keep these freepathon threads BTTTed.

As I'm sure everyone is aware we are in a battle not just for the hearts and minds of people all over the country but also in a battle for the rights of christians and conservatives to continue to exist in their own communities as well as to serve and stay involved in them. The liberals, progressives and moderates have made it know that they consider conservatives and christians a menace to soceity and they intend to do everything in their power to deprive all communitites in America of these groups and their influence.

This place has been a safe haven for conservatives since 1997 and has provided conservatives with a forum with which to address issues of public importance as well as information to help fight corruption in our goverment. Nowhere else can a conservative express an opinion without the fear of being bad-mouthed or having his or her intelligence insulted as has been the case with many local and regional message boards.

So will you help us keep FR going? Remember if you don't have enough discreationary money to donate then please keep these threads bumped so those that can do so will take notice.

All I have is a kluge. I keep a bookmark called "most recent profile:
near top of my menu bar in browser (IE 5)
Right now I have a profile for:
http://www.FreeRepublic.com/perl/profile?u=78799
AKA donnawimmer. From time to time I click on the bookmark, then "move up a couple of numbers" by just editing directly in the address of the browser. Sort of twenty questions - move up 20, get a " No current Freeper by that name", then move down 10, get a "home", move up a half.... If I get a hit and find no profile past it, I then copy that URL into the bookmark using Edit Address function (sorry, not as easy in Netscape).

N. The Know and I got started on this a few weeks ago when we were wondering who the 'latest' was.

Try it below, I will substitute 78800 as latest ID. By the time you get this message, somebody may be home...:)
