I can't turn the computer off...that's my business.
BTW, the "puppies" are part of the overall problem...three Dacshunds and a German Shepherd.
When the cold months roll around, they get "lazy", and don't like to do their business outside, but on my floors, rugs, etc.
My once beautiful house smells of dacshund piss. Try living like that for a few years. It adds to the overall problem. I'm not a slob, and I don't think "normal" people like to live like this. I won't. Not anymore.

Was just trying to help.
Now, have some sense of pride and start acting like a man, you wimp. It's becoming evident why your wife left you.

Which one of you was nuts enough to let four mutts have the run of the house? The first thing you should do is call the SPCA and get rid of those poopers. Man, how could anyone live like that for five years?

Things will get worse, then better. There is nothing good about a family that is broken up. My sympathy to you. Time will help. Do get joint custody.
PS: Rent a good steam cleaner for the carpet concerning your dogs. You'll breath easier.

Come on, fella, SNAP OUT OF IT. You've got business to take care of! Your wife is probably counting on you to react this way. Why not surprise the hell out of her?
Take action. First, "clean your nest". Second, be a figure of strength. Inform your wife, this isn't going to be as easy as she supposed and you are ready to fight for your family. Next, get a lawyer and follow thru. Do not fatigue!

You are blaming the dogs?! Four dogs with 'incontinence', hello! It's not the dogs who are lazy. OMG, no wonder she left. I feel bad about your broken down marriage and all but for God's sake start by cleaning the house and letting those dogs know who's boss. If you can't take charge of your pets how can you expect to be the head of a family? Take a good look and the mirror, face reality, deal with it, and Godspeed.

BTW, the "puppies" are part of the overall problem...three Dacshunds and a German Shepherd. Get rid of the Dachies, keep the GSD, buy a case of Nature's Miracle and SOAK the carpet. You can also get a syringe and inject the stuff into the padding. It'll take a couple of weeks, but it will completely destroy all the urine. Cleaning the carpet won't do that.

Dachshunds are notorious for house training problems. If you are not willing to retrain them using crates instead of allowing them the run of the house, you might as well contact Dachshund rescue and get rid of them. Don't feel sorry for them. Do something about it right now. Have your carpets professionally cleaned with enzyme cleaner and make a vow to never live in a doggy litterbox again. A dirty house is DEMORALIZING. You can't control every other aspect of your life, but you can certainly control where the dogs poop and pee. If you won't get rid of them, crate them.
