Sir, Please bear in mind that (as much as we both regret this) the Democrats *will* be back in power again. It is inevitable, not necessarily through any fault of yours or of the GOP's. The Democrat party has shown itself consistently devoid of any principles or scruples, and has traditionally used any available method to discourage or punish dissent. This, more than anything else, explains why you have bi-partisan support for this measure. The Democrats couldn't care less about the welfare of this country, and view this as an opportunity to get a really big (legal) stick for beating down opposition once they return to power. Please do not add this *legal* means to the Democrat arsenal for persucuting its critics. Otherwise, we will all live to regret it.
