The French ambassador to the United States says Europe will not support any U.S. military action against Iraq without clear evidence that a military response is warranted.
"We would not pledge support. They (the United States) would be on their own," Ambassador Francois Bujon said at a Tuesday evening forum sponsored by Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies.

France won't back U.S. attack on Iraq I have two simultaneous reactions to this:
1. And this is news because....?
2. And we should care because...?

Maybe you can just give your country to them - like back in WWII when those nice Germans came to Paris. What did you do then? Oh yeah, you showed them where to park their Panzers and gave them your wives. Good tacticians. There's an old (like 50+ year old) joke that goes, "For sale: French rifle. Never used, dropped once."

The U.S. ambassador to France says America will not support any French military action against Germany without clear evidence that a military response is warranted. "We would not pledge support. They (France) would be on their own," Ambassador Ohgo Stuffit said at a Tuesday evening forum.

"How many times in the last 50 years has France been 100% in support of America's military actions?" Make that 60 years. They weren't even unanimous in support of our rescuing their smelly arses from the Nazis.

They objected to americans shooting germans? Or did they simply object to being in debt to america?
I think the french just hate it when ever they are outdone by anyone that speaks english. ;-)

The Euroweenies strike again.

Joke from Mad Ivan: Wht do the French line their roads with trees? So their conquerors can march in the shade.

The amendment is friendly.

So the sniveling cowardly french aren't going to back U.S. up on Iraq? Is there really any reason to post this type of stuff? This is not news.

Kind of a shame. The holders of the last testosterone supply in France, La Legion, might have wanted to come to the party. They're always welcome in my book, even if "they're only as good as their weakest German", according to the old saying.

I wouldn't even count on the Legion. The fish rots from the head down. Gary Cooper and Ray Milland are long gone from the corps.

Ah, the French have struck again...
"Mon Capitain, Major Strasser has been shot!"
"Well then, you know what to do! Round up the usual Germans, then ask for terms."
Be Seeing You,
Chris
