CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme Fails Yet Again

Dick Morris to Greta Van Susteren: "You're still a CNN person!"

by Mia T

CEW YORK, Feb. 7--Greta Van Susteren, clintonoid extralegal cudgel plucked by Fox from the eponymous Clinton News Network (CNN) and now host of her own show, "On the Record," demonstrated in real-time that her much "eyed" Fox-y redo was, indeed, only cosmetic.

In a state of obvious disequilibrium at "fair and balanced" Fox, Greta, cross-examining Dick Morris with standard issue clinton cya-ing talking points, behaved as though she were still a CNN CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme co-conspirator. And Morris, not one to take it lying down, (so to speak), quickly called her on it with with, "You're still a CNN person!"-- spitting out "CNN" with a force one usually reserves for only the most obscene invective.

The impetus for Greta's rage was a devastating piece in "The Wall Street Journal" detailing clinton's utter failure in combating terrorism; it was written by Morris, who should know -- he was former clinton advisor, personal pollster and closest confidant.

The logical endpoints of Morris' argument -- that clinton is the proximate cause of 9/11, that clinton put civilization, itself, at great risk and that clinton was, therefore, an utter failure as president -- put Greta in extreme CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme mode.

Greta buttressed her clinton cya-ing talking points with clinton-provided New York Times cites. There is no clearer case of petitio principii, begging the question, than this. (Any person still sentient after eight years of the clintons knows that the The New York Times is merely the clinton cya-ing talking points writ large (or is it small??).)

Greta's position at Fox is tenuous. As a CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme co-conspirator, Greta's sycophancy, second only to that of Helen Thomas, is inconsistent with Fox News audience demographics.

Famous for his simultaneous use of phones and toes, Dick Morris conducted an "On the Record" poll tonight as he toed the line with Greta. "According to the poll," said Morris, " Greta's a goner."

"She got exactly what she deserved."

Whoa, not yet, she hasn't! One trip to the mat with Dick Morris should just barely be the warmup for such a blatant Clinton defender. Let the games begin!!!

Were Greta's "notes" from which she was reading provided by Clinton's headquarters in Harlem?

I saw the show (actually the exchange between Greta and Morris) last night and decided it would be the last time I would watch Greta. I have been switching back and forth between Greta and Keyes. Keyes is working out the kinks in his show. An in depth discussion of a single subject (or any subject for that matter) isn't seen too often.

I couldn't believe she was quoting the NY Times as a reliable source (at least on FOX). The people who have switched to FOX have done so because they have gotten frustrated of only hearing one side of the story from news outlets like the NY Times that lean so far to the left they are about to fall over.

Morris is correct that she still has a CNN mindset. CNN still thinks they (like the NY Times) can tell people what to think. Greta made no attempt to actually discuss things with Morris, instead she basicly told him he was wrong and then talked over him and cut him off whenever he tried to make a point.

FOX has made its reputation by telling both sides of a story. Look at the two shows that precede her. O'Riely typicly goes after both sides. Hannity and Colmes has a conservative and a liberal, and they present both sides.

Watching PBS's Front Line last evening, I was struck by the Clinton-Albright debacle in Somalia. Also, I recalled Waco and Ruby Ridge. Clinton and Arafat, and all of the post Clinton Presidency Debris Field leads me to believe that Clinton actually acted to destabilise the world by covering over the realities now evident since 9/11.

As to Greta, wait till her face gets shrunken again, and we will be back to seeing the same old shill during the OJ Simpson days where she used that tradgedy to propell her carrer.

I saw the 'interview' last night.

Morris claimed:
The WH actively avoided investigating the missile angle in twa 800.

Knowilng allowed 'the holy land foundation' to funnel money to terrorists - for years.

among other claims... Greta was not interviewing DM, but weakly trying to counter his claims.

DM responded - I was there, where were you? This is what happened, since you were not there, how can you claim that it did not happen?

Stunning,
(I would not want to be DM's insurance agent.)

I'll try this again, I asked this on another *Greta* thread and got no response.
I didn't watch the show, I watched the first 2 min Monday night and switched..couldn't take anymore with the MadHatter.
I read yesterday that Greta lost 1/3 of her audience since Monday night.
Could this *interview* with Morris been staged to improve ratings....?

DIck Morris is smarter than bill or hill...by a long shot. They trashed him for a moral failure they both enjoy with great relish. Usually they trash those powerless to maintain even a spot of revenge in the realm of media gush.

Not so with Dick. He rose, slowly from the toe-sucking ash heap, and has been building a foundation of clinton exposure ever since. Almost as if he is making it his life's work to make sure the real truth about the clintons is never forgotten-from his viewpoint. And, like Gary Alrich, so marvelously trashed by Stephanopoulis and other clintonistas, Dick is NOT GOING to lay on some railroad track and willingly be beheaded for his background knowledge.

Yeah...he may need protection. My guess is, he has gone that route. And for good reason. Lots of deaths can be associated with beneficial results to the clinton klan. Of that there is no doubt. One doesn't have to go further than vince foster to understand this.

Whatever....I hope Dick keeps it up. And I also-tho I know Mia disagrees, hope Greta's show is a rip roaring success.

She is smart, she broadens my scope and fires me up, and she will be able to bring on the dangerous and creepy if cowardly dem elitists who are afraid to meet face to face with Sean or Bill but rely on Alan for softballs. We need to know our enemies.....and maybe Greta....with a new freedom unlike anything she has experienced at CNN will be a showcase for keeping on top of our opponents in this race to reclaim our nation.

She may not last-she has one tough route....but I hope she does.

They probably tuned in to see her new face, but that only takes a few minutes. Everyone has seen it now and no one plans on watching her. Alan Keyes' show on MSNBC will be much more enjoyable to watch.

She was on Fox and Friends this morning telling us that the jury made the right decision on the OJ case and that she thoroughly trounced Dick Morris with the facts last night. I was disappointed with Fox and Friends for not taking her to task. It looks like they are trying to save her show by having her appear on the popular Fox shows.

...Fox News audience demographics...

"Conservatives"? No, people who like NEWS outlets that actually report NEWS, not "pravda".

I didn't glean that from Greta's visit with Fox and Friends today, at all. What I caught was the fact that Dick Morris was genuinely angry and stormed off after the segment....cool! Glad Dick was angry. I hope he keeps fired up and lays out the truth of the clinton reign of terror and degradation of our culture for a long, long time. And I am glad Greta provided him with a platform to defend his article......

Greta is REALLY good at what she does. I may not like her angles, at times, but she asks some knock-out questions and I think as she falls into the new freedom of her work at FOX...she will become either the bill o'reilly of the left, or else a very intense interviewer with a left leaning. Either way....she has one heck of a good show.

Is there another link to the WSJ article? This one has all manner of bells, whistles and other annoyances that I can't stomach.

Greta's show is UNWATCHABLE, especially at 10:00 when you're trying to relax. I tuned in on Monday night but couldn't put up with Madeline Albright, and I haven't watched since. If Roger Ailes felt it necessary to hire Greta, he should have teamed her with Andrew Napolitano... (BTY, I've been enjoying Kudlow and Kramer at 8:00 on CNBC.)

I for one am glad they hired Greta Van Sl*t. My TV was on Fox 24/7 and now it has an hour long break from 7-8PM. What a relief. If I wanted to watch CNN I would just turn the channel. This clacking hen makes Paula Zahn sound like Rush Limbaugh!

Pray for GW and the Truth

I've been wanting to tune in, just to see The Face in motion. The pictures looked like a different person.

Well, she really does look different. But to someone really familiar with her former personna, it's just kind of surreal. Here's this different, almost perky affect -- but the same sort of nasally, uninflected voice, and the oddly immobile upper lip.

But what really got me was I just happened upon the end of this exchange with Dick Morris that you're discussing.

Now, I have no respect for Morris whatever. But what was really odd was that Morris was evidently just whamming on Clinton's failures in foreign policy, and relating them to 9/11 — and Greta was defending Clinton! Something she said got him so angry that he was literally shaking. She ended up with this pathetic, "Well, you have the last word, but let's remember he almost killed bin Laden twice." It was so lame I almost felt sorry for her.

Almost.

Dan

Only if the goal was to replace Greta with Dick. She's history.
