Morris Telling Off Van Sustern Live!
Fox News | February 7, 2002 | Me

Posted on 02/07/2002 6:41:08 PM PST by Land_of_Lincoln_John

Check it out! Dick Morris is telling Greta Van Sustern that "She has no idea what she is talking about."

On terrorism, Clinton looked the other way, according to Morris. When Van Sustern objected, Morris snapped: "I was there, you weren't."

Morris to Van Sustern: "You are still a CNN person."

Of course, Greta had to throw in how hated Ronald Reagan was while he was President

Reagan probably could have won a third term as president had he been allowed to run. The primary reason Bush Sr. won was because the promised the would continue the polices of Reagan (and the reason Bush Sr. wasn't re-elected is because he didn't continue the policies of Reagan.)

The only people that hated Reagan were the far, far left (plenty of people disagreed with him, but even most of his political opponents say the liked him.) The statement tells everything you need to know about Greta's mindset (and the crowd she hangs out with.)

I loved the quip he got in about her handlers. She kept going on about some New York Climes article outlining all the great things Beelzebubba Xlinton did to combat terrorism. When she said NY Climes one too many times he retorted: "You mean what your spinmeisters told you..." I was hoping he would pop her over the head. One of the best TV moments in recent weeks. Greta obviously didn't check her kneepads at the FoxNews door. How long is she going to be infesting the studios, and why can't Fox trade her for Alan Keyes?

"Word is that Gretas dog bit her because he didnt recognize her. What else did Greta change since dogs recognize by smell?"

The first time my dog saw me wearing a hunters-orange cap, he started growling like he'd cornered an intruder. When I took off my hat and told him to shut up, he figured out it was me. :) (Fortunatly he was in his crate at the time, or me may very well have bitten me -- he really did think I was a stranger prancing about "his" house.) Dog's use vision to recognize people too.

He's sort of a "Josephus" for our times. Maybe not the most honorable card in the deck, but hey, he was there, and he spills the beans for posterity.

I think that the TRIGGER for his rage was the fact that she had OBVIOUSLY done her homework on his ACTUAL role with Clinton..."You were not really in the administration, were you?, you were just a poll taker for him, right?"..He turned white...stuttered, then said.."Well, it's true, I did not have security clearance, but the first 2 years I was sooo close to him, even Stephanopolis says I WAS the President!!!!!!" She came back with "Yes, and you never sat in on meetings with him and Albright, correct?" So this is what REALLY got him FIRED UP WITH VINDICTIVE RAGE toward her.

Can Toe-Sucker cite any documented examples (of course not, they burned 'em all) of his having counseled the First Perpetrator to be tough on terrorism?

Morris did cite an example. Morris told Clinton that one the issues he should focus on as part of his legacy was eliminating terrorism. Morris said Clinton showed absolutly no interest in making the combating of terrorism a prioirty.

Clinton did just enough so he can say he didn't do anything, but it was never a priority with Clinton. It wasn't a priority with Clinton because it wasn't a priority with the American people. Clinton would have needed to step out front and lead the American people on this issue. After the health care and gays in the military fiascos, Clinton didn't step out and lead on anything. If it wasn't already a priority with the American people, he didn't try and make it one.

Clinton's culpability in this is that he knew the terrorism problem was much worse than the average American thought it was. Rather than use up his political capital leading on this, he allowed the problem to languish and just passed it on the next administration.

#21: Incredible to watch this woman still defend X42 even as Morris was citing example after example. When he asked where she received her talking points, she said she wasn't reciting talking points but did her research through The New York Slimes. He was so angry I thought he'd walk out.

#25: Van Sustren is a Scientologist. Enough said.

Perhaps she's getting her talking points from Xenu, evil head of the Galactic Confederation. [Scientology reference, for those of you who have no idea who Xenu [[NOT Xena]] is....]

I think that you have something there. Morris is always trying to prove how important he was. Greta was basically telling him, he maybe didn't know as much as he claimed. On the other hand, he may have known a great deal more than some of Clinton's official advisors. Who knows? He can't really prove it and it probably bugs him a lot.

regards

You were not really in the administration, were you?, you were just a poll taker for him, right?"

It's an old technique called attacking the person.

When the facts are on your side, argue the facts. When the facts are against you, attack the person.

Why do you think she decided to start out attacking his credibility instead of discussing the facts?

I missed this show(shucks!)but since I read Greta lost a third of her auidence since Monday could this have been staged?

Could be. Even worse for Greta and her new face job, she didn't even make the cut for the Infobabe competition. I believe we're seeing the ship of her career sink slowly beneath the waves....

Question is, will Fox executives be sharp enough to play *Missing Link* and *Survivor* with her, and put the choice as to whether she stays or goes up to a viewer referendum. That move could get them viewers galore, particularly if they'd have her get on her knees and plead to viewers to let her stay, especially if she'd cry a little.

She is the missing link. Goodbye.

Here's the thing with Dicky-poo: IMO

Dick sidled and weaseled himself into the Clinton realm with his brain. Clintons realized his worth to them, as he MADE SENSE, was perceptive and shrewd. As their power increased Dick continued to be a confidant and strategizer. Hillary did not like him, but he was still OF USE in their power grab.

Did not follow with scrutiny the DETAILS of the toe-sucking scandal, but I did follow the dynamics. Immediately they had to OFF-LOAD Dicky-poo, as he was now a LIABILITY.

I think more went on behind the scenes, BUT, as a result of this, Morris had ONE AGENDA: REVENGE. He had been stripped of his coattail power, and his main goal in life now is to destroy Clinton via whatever info he can spill. BECAUSE he knows the risk of slander and libel suits, I tend to think that what he says is fact. I also think he exaggerates his importance, which pees the Hell out of them. "Stephanopolis used to say I WAS the president"...

Exactly, you have to hand it to her, she is extremely intelligent.

Why?

I have a theory.

Putting a liberal on Fox draws loyal Gretta watchers (the appliantology crowd led by L. Ron Hover) over to Fox... where they, for the first time, are exposed to the truth.

I don't mind so much, because I know the truth.

In fact I'm happy Fox has Gretta on, because unlike CNN, she is forced to explain herself with something more than DNC talkingpoints.
