When the facts are on your side, argue the facts. When the facts are against you, attack the person. Why do you think she decided to start out attacking his credibility instead of discussing the facts?

Intelligent, but not smart.

This may work with the typical person that doesn't do much thinking about the arguments presented, but It may back fire with the typical FOX viewer.

My guess is a substantial portion of FOX's audience is made up of people who can see past this type of tactic. They got tired of seeing the spin on other stations. FOX built its audience by "presenting the facts, and letting the audience decide".
