Morris Telling Off Van Sustern Live!
Fox News | February 7, 2002 | Me

Posted on 02/07/2002 6:41:08 PM PST by Land_of_Lincoln_John

Check it out! Dick Morris is telling Greta Van Sustern that "She has no idea what she is talking about."

On terrorism, Clinton looked the other way, according to Morris. When Van Sustern objected, Morris snapped: "I was there, you weren't."

Morris to Van Sustern: "You are still a CNN person."

"Morris let her get away with citing Clinton's bombing of the Sudanese aspirin factory on the night before Lewinski's grand jury appearance as a positive act against terrorism. Let's get real!"

To be fair, it was a free fire zone, you can't expect him to shoot down everything that raises its head. All in all, he did pretty good. He was definitely the one who walked away when it was over with (as opposed to being rolled out on a gurney). :)

Wow, I wish I could've seen it. BTW, it seems as though the toe sucker has turned against Billy Jeff...

If he did, it would be the first time a Clintonite had turned on the Perjurer. I'm more apt to think Dick Morris was "throwing red meat" at the Fox audience, and maybe tweaking van Cistern a bit. I don't really think he's "turned" against i42.

"Rita is the best interviewer on TV."

On the other hand, there's her breathless -- and completely bass-ackwards -- report outside the Supreme Court when they laid the axe to root of the Gore campaign. She was so excited over the thought of Gore winning that she managed to tell the world that the dissenting opinion spelled victory for Gore. It was a classic "We won! We won!" moment, except for her mistaking "lost" for "won" -- and, coming from someone who was supposed to be reporting rather than cheerleading.

I've heard that Abe Lincoln said essentially the same thing, in the context of a reply to someone who asked why he dismissed someone out of hand.

I'm convinced that he's in permanent payback-mode for the former co-president's vile antisemitic attack on him.

"Nah, she's not near smart enough to be a Vulcan. Maybe a Romulan..."

In the photo in post 195 she looks more like one of those wheeler-dealer aliens from the new startrek series (I guess it's an old series now, I'm not much of a teevee watcher, I only saw it a couple of times). I'm talking about the ones with the big ears and big teeth and oddball facial expressions. Stretch out her ears and teeth a bit (in that picture) and I think there's be more than a slight resemblance. IIRC they had an Italian-sounding name like Ferangi.

Of course, Greta had to throw in how hated Ronald Reagan was while he was President

So that's today's left-wing talking point? Funny, I live in what was, until Reagan, an 80% Southern Democrat area, and he was well-liked by the common people.

Whoops! I guess folks like that don't attend Greta's cocktail parties, do they?

>> "WHEN THE SUED NECESSARIES OFFERED HIM TO US ON A SILVER PLATTER"

>The "sued necessaries"? I thought it was the Sudanese.
>I'm not usually one for spelling flames, but that item is off the charts.

Wow. I pull this from closed captioning, so there are often inaccuracies in spelling and omission. In that sense, I'm not surprised there was at least one spelling mistake. But I AM surprised there such great variance in this instance between the transcript and what was actually said. Thanks for pointing this out.

Sometimes I think they type whatever crap will fit in so that they can keep on going without skipping a beat. Other times I think they're using braindead speech-to-text voice recognition software.

>>We WATCH Fox to get away from people like Greta.

There has been increasing group think disinformation coming from the liberal camp to avoid FOX.....I think they want to pull a Ken Starr on the network and sink them with gobbly gook wishful thinking.

I bet FOX is reacting.

Fox News is annoying the hell out of me. Now I not only have to hit the channel change when that weird clown Whorealdo comes on the screen, but I have to turn down the sound when Greta V. comes on. Then I can stare at her strange new face without listening to the garbage spewing from her straight new mouth.

Fox has lost it.

CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme Fails Yet Again

Dick Morris to Greta Van Susteren: "You're still a CNN person!"
  • Calls clinton an UTTER FAILURE IN COMBATING TERRORISM,
  • Implies that clinton is Proximate Cause of 9/11

by Mia T

CEW YORK, Feb. 7--Greta Van Susteren, clintonoid extralegal cudgel plucked by Fox from the eponymous Clinton News Network (CNN) and now host of her own show, "On the Record," demonstrated in real-time that her much "eyed" Fox-y redo was, indeed, only cosmetic.

In a state of obvious disequilibrium at "fair and balanced" Fox, Greta, cross-examining Dick Morris with standard issue clinton cya-ing talking points, behaved as though she were still a CNN CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme co-conspirator. And Morris, not one to take it lying down, (so to speak), quickly called her on it with with, "You're still a CNN person!"-- spitting out "CNN" with a force one usually reserves for only the most obscene invective.

The impetus for Greta's rage was a devastating piece in "The Wall Street Journal" detailing clinton's utter failure in combating terrorism; it was written by Morris, who should know -- he was former clinton advisor, personal pollster and closest confidant.

The logical endpoints of Morris' argument -- that clinton is the proximate cause of 9/11, that clinton put civilization, itself, at great risk and that clinton was, therefore, an utter failure as president -- put Greta in extreme CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme mode.

Greta buttressed her clinton cya-ing talking points with clinton-provided New York Times cites. There is no clearer case of petitio principii, begging the question, than this. (Any person still sentient after eight years of the clintons knows that the The New York Times is merely the clinton cya-ing talking points writ large (or is it small??).)

Greta's position at Fox is tenuous. As a CLINTON-WAS-AN-UTTER-FAILURE Containment Team Scheme co-conspirator, Greta's sycophancy, second only to that of Helen Thomas, is inconsistent with Fox News audience demographics.

Famous for his simultaneous use of phones and toes, Dick Morris conducted an "On the Record" poll tonight as he toed the line with Greta. "According to the poll," said Morris, " Greta's a goner."

Morris Telling Off Van Sustern Live!

You folks make my day, y'a know that?

Aside from my wife, I can't think of another 50,000 people I'd rather wake up with, and I really mean that!

; )

Thanks for the post. Still, the moment it gets to 10:00PM I'll tune in to any other channel than FOX news right now. "Blithering Ditz Lady" is not permitted airtime in my home.

Dick Morris shouldn't be recalled for anything, on general principle.

He is a lower life-form, and he uses his toxic intelligence against the interests of democracy and the people.
