Although 9/11 brought a temporary halt to most of the broadcast media's leftwing bias, it is now back, and it's "business as usual" with America's newscasters. Therefore, our *jihad against the media* continues.
Last year, Operation Valentine netted CBS/Dan Rather 50,000+ "unvalentines", and we are fairly certain it provided for a somewhat uncomfortable year for Rather, as we focused attention on his long-time, ongoing liberal bias.
In our continuing battle again liberal media bias, this year's operation valentine is to be directed at ABC and Peter Jennings. A visit to the CCRM website will show Peter has been the recipient of more "Media Bias Outrage of the Weeks" than any other single broadcaster, as well as a special *freep*, "Spintasia, brought to you by Walt Disney, starring Peter Jennings".
Specific examples of Jennings'/ABC's bias can easily be found by visiting the Media Research Center website and doing a search on "Jennings".
Jennings has consistently and repeatedly denied the presence of liberal bias in the media. But listen to this:
"We may tell you all the time that our principal aim in life is to communicate and assist, inform, whatever the fancy words are, our audience. But if you see injustice and you can get people to do something about it, ahh, it's just a glorious feelings... There's nothing a reporter likes more than to have an effect on policy." - Peter Jennings, August 24, 2001, interview with CBS's Mel Gibson.
Earth to Peter, can you say "a-g-e-n-d-a*?
Jennings continues to serve as lapdog to the Clintons, as well: "The Court also said that the former President cannot argue cases before the Supreme Court even if he wished to. He can appeal, but his legal license has already been suspended in Arkansas for dishonesty in the Paula Jones case". (October 1, 01). Peter, the correct terminology for the circumstances are "...suspended in Arkansas following his conviction of perjury in the Paula Jones case"!!
Since 9/11, Jennings has especially found the concept of "patriotism" or "loyalty" troubling. It is far from our intent to serve as "patriotism police", but on 9/11, his questioning of President Bush's actions - "some Presidents do it brilliantly and some do not" - were fairly inappropriate, given the gravity of the situation.
After the war in Afghanistan began, ABC's willingness to provide a relatively uncritical platform to our enemies, eg. civilian casualties as reported by the Taliban, was pretty breathtaking. Rich Noyes, of Media Research Center, reported their monitoring had shown ABC's World News Tonight devoted nearly four times as much of its newscasts to unconfirmed Taliban claims of civilian casualties as CBS, and almost twice as much as NBC. This, in addition to Peter's "root causes" whine.
This, of course, from a network that instructed its employees NOT to wear American flag lapel pins, which might indicate an American bias to the world. (WHAT??? - If only it were true!). Some words from one of President Bush's speeches come to mind here: "You're either with us or with the terrorists." If so, where does that place ABC?
So Freepers, what do you say? LET'S once again send a message to ABC and Peter Jennings about what we think of their BIAS! Some *hearts and candies for the abc dandies?

Can you believe it?ABC hired Steffie, Nothing more really needs to be said about bias at abc, but here's the quote.
"He did do well here. Listen, he succeeded. Its Easter. Everyone is home, everyone is safe. Its a win no matter how it happened. Well never know if it could happened earlier if he hadnt been so hard line." ABC reporter and analysts George Stephanopoulos during the roundtable on This Week, April 15.
News, Peter? Or talking points to sway the sheep? You're quick on the trigger to discredit the right, but lies, misdeeds of dems? Not one in your sight! |
Okay, it's a little "unpoetic"... (o:
The best I can do. It is however, in his own inimitable(?) style:

Would be they're not going to be getting the respect that *I* think they're waiting for.
Not from me, & not in my lifetime.
{btw: put the initials of the 4 bozo nets in a semicircle around the gold Hammer & Sickle on an old USSR flag & ya got a winner, eh? >hint-hint<}
These guys aren't concerned with being biased. Period.
I've been practicing facial expressions in front of a mirror lately.
In anticipation of the day when I'll get the chance to tell the Leftist quislings of every stripe (sycophants included) what I think to their faces without words.
Practicing; raised eyebrow(s), li'l smirk(s), rolling eyeball(s) (& NOT too much, either...) nervous little (hehe) ticks that'll interrupt their schtick?
You get the idea?
The Liberals I speak with no longer get the PRIVILEGE of my argument.
The PLEASURE of seeing me come UNglued at their absurdity now, denied.
Nope; the Liberals & especially their quisling media dogs recieve only my disdain, contempt, & one or all of *those* looks.
Suddenly?
It is they who're going to be apoplectic, blood pressure spiking to 300, turning beet red & finding they're extremely frustrated.
bert ol' friend?
They want respect; & they'll get NONE of that from me, Sir.
...nope; nor, is any forthcoming.

You are of course correct. Goldberg taught us they don't even know they are biased.
At best we can enlighten the sheep.
No respect..... That's the ticket
FGS
You bet it is, my friend.
Socialists are motivated by ego(s) just as any others.
Only most of these Lamestream jamokes work cheaper than real talent.
...plus, I dare say their egos are inversely proportional to their IQs; *just* a notion. ;o)

FWIW, it appears the sheeple are slowly coming around; thanks in part to efforts like this.
Update: On Thursday Gallup posted an analysis about the poll cited in the November 15 CyberAlert. Gallup discovered: "The only organization that gets a negative rating by the public is the news media. A majority, 54%, disapprove of the way the media are handling the war on terrorism, while 43% approve."

LOL, I sure will! Thanks FGS!
Now there's a great word.
...especially-so for a 'Rat hunter.

ABC jumps on "quagmire" bandwagon on October 12:
"When Taliban soldiers escorted foreign journalists to the outskirts of Jalalabad, they said civilians had been killed here. They said Taliban troops are still alive and well-armed and that the bombing isn't fazing them. 'We just laugh at these bombs', one of the Taliban escorts said... As for the US efforts to befriend people, those American food packets rained from the skies in parts of Northern Afghanistan this weekend. People walked for miles to get them. 'I don't know how to use these packages because I can't read,' says this woman. "I only know it's food.' It's early days, but so far this is a war without any clear-cut victories or defeats. That's true of the bombings and of the battle for public sympathy." - ABC's World News Tonight, October 12, MRC transcription, David Wright reporting.
