Someone needed to actually have a real game time thread (not one started in the middle of the day where no one could find it).
Let's roll.

Well, I used to live in both NE and StL but I was raised in another one of the old AFL cities so I'm kinda happy for NE! GO PATS!
To: Dales
Wow! It has to be the best Super Bowl ever.
To: Dales
I predicted 24-21 Pats. We warned you Rams fans. The Pats are better than they look, even though the Rams are better on paper. It's the game that counts.
Congrats New England freepers!

Congrats to the Patriots.......I have to admit that I expected "Boresville" for a Super Bowl..........good show.

I'm a Steelers fan, but
"The Patriots" were the
team of destiny this year! FANTASTIC GAME!!!
Congratulations Patriots bump!!!

Nice to have the Patriots win the next Super Bowl after 9/11. They made a fine demonstration of being team players with great sportsmanship, Drew Bledsoe in particular.
To: Dales
I don't know sports, but it's WAY COOL for the underdogs to win against all odds!

Best Super Bowl in history!

WHERE DID THE LAMBS GO TONIGHT???????hahahahahahahhaha

To H_ll with the Patriots . . . most of their fans are so far left that our forefathers would disown any knowledge of them (their fans). And the Patriots are not a good team - just opportunistic, IMHOP. And for the first time this season the good guys choked.

How can I not get in a 1000+ post thread?
Great game!

it's the year of the PATRIOT!
To: Dales
Congratulations Patriots fans...

Check out the post-game analysis on ESPN. Steve Young looks like he cut his hair himself (kind of like Bill Gates).

Pretty Cute Trick there! Change the Title of the Thread so it looks like you're predicting the future!!! LOL! :o)

A quarterback many thought shouldn't have started led a team many felt should't have been there on a drive many felt shouldn't have been attempted. This was a true classic. Bonus: it made Madden look like an imbecile.

The best damn Superbowl and the best damn half-time show ever, period.

All week long, I bit my tongue when I read and heard all the pro Rams stuff. It was Rams this, Rams that, superior team, and on and on and on. I was hoping that the Rams would start to believe it and start to take the Patriots for granted.
Even during the game, I held back. I was hoping that that missed second Rams field goal would be decisive, ---and it was. The call back TD, because of holding, threw me into a tizzy and I spent the last 30 seconds with my fingers over my eyes (with a small hole for peeking) and finally let out a WHOOP when that ball went over with .02 left on the clock!
I then let it all out!!!!!! When the defense was doing so well, I was afraid of jinxing them if I got my hopes up, but finally they won and all the pundits can now eat their words! Never will anyone one take any team for granted again! All those boasters and know-it-alls can go hide their heads. The Patriots won - not by a fluke, but by a fantabulous defense and a special, special team.
So often the Super Bowl is not 'super' -- but this one is for the books. Congrats to the Pats! A great team and a great coach! I had to laugh when Madden didn't agree with Belichick's strategy in that last play before the field goal. Then when it worked, he had the goodness to say: "I agree with Belichick's strategy"! (OWTTE) HeeHee! LOL!
Good game and a happy ending for all the believers!

I'm still stunned. Yeee-Haaaaw!
