Actually, no. That's a whole different matter upon which there is no such consensus. In fact the dispute about that became so heavy it darn near toppled the Eastern Roman Empire.

There was eventually consensus on that issue in the Christian world, and again it is quite contrary to your interpretation. It's seen as an old testament teaching banning idolatry, rather than banning images themselves.

But even if you reject the common Christian interpretation of image making/idolatry, you cannot find a similar dispute about the Bible's condemnation of sex outside of marriage. That one has always been clear.

The Bible may well say "sleepin' around is bad," yet the numerous examples of it do not uniformly support that notion.

Which is why the Christian faith is not based exclusively on the examples you might like to pick and choose from the Bible. It's taken on the lessons learned from the Bible as a whole.

If you have read the Bible and think it is a faithful interpretation to say it's ok to have sex outside of marriage - just not with prostitutes - you will disagree with almost every faithful Christian since the time of the apostles. But at least you'll do it in good faith. If you do it thinking you've outsmarted God and found a loophole, you'll only be harming yourself.

We saw it Saturday night and I must agree, it was phenomenal! Very entertaining, reasonably faithful to the book, yet with a plot that was easy to follow. Even though it's a (blech!) Disney production, I encourage Freepers to see it. You won't be disappointed.

I scanned that photo directly from a magazine. I cannot say that it was not alteredby the magazine, but I didn't do anything to it. I would believe that when her posterior is untethered, it could possibly be enormous.
