Way to go, Alan! Unbelievable! Excellent show! This is my new favorite talk show.
There's a reason other successful cable shows don't invite schlubs like me to appear on stage with the host.
It just doesn't work.
This segment has the most potential of any part of the show. Ordinary people are much less likely to fall into the standard debate posture over whatever topic is at issue which results in a more revealing dialogue. Keyes has the opportunity to ask questions and send the conversation in a direction which can challenge our thinking. I think its great.
And badly needed! It's likely that no other host has the courage to say what he is saying. This was an excellent (and very important) episode.
These people are a refreshing change from the Michael Kinsleys, Carvilles, McCauliffes, Estrichs, and all the rest of the disgusting Democrat talking heads.
I wish him success.
After falling asleep before the live show, it's interesting reading the comments while watching the replay.
FYI It's replayed again at 5 AM Eastern.
Also, having at least one woman on there who has had an abortion and who regrets it now would help get the message across. I know, I know - the points Dr. Keyes and Dr. Dobson made were excellent. But, we are trying to win hearts and minds here - and allowing a woman who made this "choice" to discuss it and the ramifications from it - and the deception of the abortion mills - esp. PLANNED nonPARENTHOOD - is a winning issue because how can the pro-aborts argue with such a woman??????

Perhaps I'm not understanding you. Are you taking offense because the WTC victims were somehow "worth more" than mere aborted fetuses? That's, at least, what seems to offend you.
With respect to the other freepers, Keyes point was this: the "innocent" died at the hands of someone(s) who put other values above that of human life. In both cases, Osama or a aborting "mother", that is true.
There's no mockery there at all. It's simple truth. In one case you have a person rationalizing to kill "innocent" life be it due to foreign policy, depravity and immorality, because his "god" said so, etc. In the other case you have a person rationalizing to kill innocent life due to social inconvenience, economic pressures, fear of the burden of motherhood, etc.
He said it didn't matter the justification for this taking of innocent life, even claiming Allah told you to do it. One male panelist suggested Osama's right came from Allah as if somehow claiming "my diety made me do it" meant no person could deprive you of a right to take an innocent life when you claim such authority. Obviously he was trying to draw a parallel with the pro-abortion line that "choice is between a woman and her god."
Regarding abortion, economic convenience as justification was suggested by one of the other 'common folk'. The pro-abort woman in the discussion literally suggested in some cases because the mother can't afford a nice home to raise it in, the child is better off [not having been born]. It was painful to see the look on her face when she knew how even she couldn't finish her sentence. She went quiet, I presume, out of shame.
I suggest reading the transcript. The program was really quite good.
I liked how Keyes wasn't afraid to include critical email about his concerns over the use of military tribunals, his job as host or even "the sweater".

Good point. I like it because he whomps liberals upside the head. Like the liberals at work I have to have coffee with every day.
Not only that, but the "average Joe" isn't practiced in filibustering, changing topics, and sticking to talking points, so the stupid arguments just hang out there waiting to be blown up by Alan.
Another thing. About ten years ago our parish pro-life group organized a public debate regarding abortion with Peter Kreeft. My wife spent days trying to find anyone of any kind of fame to debate. Finally we found an obscure Marxist associate professor (at BC!) to volunteer.
These jerks are afraid to debate. Like rats, they're afraid of the light. If they won't go on, then Alan can dismember Joe "pro-abortion" Fool.
