So, the implication is that no high-ranking Clinton administration officials owned stock in Enron?
Or is this more media subterfuge?

No, nobody is covering up for the Dems. Even NPR is emphasizing that Enron was throwing money around on both sides of the aisle. The fact is that Enron bought so many politicians in both parties that virtually everyone will recuse himself from the investigation, and even politicians who didn't get Enron money will keep quiet so as not to embarrass their good buddies who did. BUT, Enron's influence on the White House in the year between Bush's inauguration and the bankruptcy is very intriguing. Enron even got a few high-ranking Dept of Energy and EPA officials sacked for not seeing things the Enron way.
