The San Diego Zoo has a Cheetah...whose best friend and cohort happens to be a Labrador Retriever! They're with each other 24x7, eating and playing together. We witnessed this in December - absolutely amazing!

Do you think that the widespread, rampant anti-Semitism in the U.S. will come after the Rapture? I cannot foresee any other way that the Christians in this country would allow that. The Christians would have to be non-existant.

It's not completely clear that the Christians in this country are willing to do anything at all in situations that don't directly involve them, except whine. Christians in this country aren't even making a significant stink about other Christians being oppressed; I can't imagine that there would be too many Christians willing to take a bullet for a Jew.

As a matter of fact, I know personally a pastor who teaches his flock that all Jews are going straight to Hell with no possibility of parole. He's not gleeful about it, as an ordinary anti-Semite might be; he mourns for Jewish souls whenever the subject comes up. But he can argue from Scripture (not very well, in my opinion) that even though God is not willing that any should perish, no one who is Jewish can ever be saved from Hell.

This guy is way out in left field, and dead wrong, but he's a sincere Christian who has been convinced by false doctrine because he has no firm foundation for his theology. I expect there are many, many Christians like him: perhaps they don't think Jews are the spawn of the devil now, but they have no real defense against a theology that would claim that. When such a theology comes along, I think they'll succumb to it.

Even if we don't sink as low as pogroms and other murderous persecution, I can imagine Christians chanting, "Jews go home! Jews go home!" as easily as I can see them in the history-book photographs chanting, "Niggers go home! Niggers go home!"

A Christian who has never so much as wrinkled his brow in perplexity over using leavened bread at Communion simply does not have enough foundation in the roots of his faith to be safe from attitudes of anti-Semitism.

There are some Christians in this country that would stand up for the Jews, me included. There are also alot of weak-minded Christians, but I honestly don't know any personally who are against the Jews. The Jews do not have any better friends than the Fundamentalists Christians.

Does your friend not believe that Jews can become Christians, that they cannot accept Jesus Christ as their Savior?

Well, you brought it up with your response to me. Thought maybe you were trying to inject some sort of anthropomorphic sentimentality on the lion when you described him as staying home with the kids while Mom went hunting.

Egads, no. I have detested the bad rap that male lions are getting since some nit did research and discovered that the female lion did the hunting. He isn't even made for the long distance chase and hunt. Look at him, he is made for close-up combat. Male lions are just as important as the hunters to the survival of a den. It's a lion eat lion world out there. 8^)
