A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 1/5/02
yahoo.com, whitehouse.gov | 1/5/02

On what can be seen as firing a shot across the bow of partisan Democrats, President Bush sent a strong and clear message to Washington and the American people that the economy must not fall victim to the DC standard of gridlock. Bush made it clear in his town hall meeting in Ontario, California, that the economy is the biggest issue to solve in the next year, other than the continuing war on terror. The President tackled questions ranging from the war on terror, to the economy, education, and even fashion. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Celebrating a successful President in times of war is hardly something to be chastized for.

This is a free country. You do want you want and leave the rest of us here in Bush country to enjoy our daily dose of appreciation for having a president we can both be proud of and thankful for.

Don't be such a wet blanket. I thought only liberals were whiners.

Welcome back, rintense, and Happy New Year!

Great pix of our President's speech, which was a barn-burner! Loved it when a couple of our military people told him how proud they are to have him as our Commander-in-Chief. What a difference from those eight miserable years that now seem like a bad nightmare.

Thank you, RWP, and welcome back. The bookmark question is not a dumb question to me; I've been wondering myself.

This may be beneath the understanding of one as urbane as you, but I will try to explain. Many of us at FR criticize the Prez where necessary, e.g., his recent granting of permanent NTR to China, but, on this thread, we allow ourselves to bask in the glory of having an outstanding -- not perfect -- leader, a comfort made all the more wonderful after the 8 years of havoc brought upon our country by the Clintons. And, since most of us are women, we sometimes get a little sleepover silly in our comments, but that is part of the fun.

In summary, considering the thoughts you expressed in your post, this is probably not a place where you would enjoy hanging out.

Show tunes, huh? Chick, you are so funny!

The AMERICAN People ELECTED the PRESIDENT They NEEDED!!!

He's a reflection of the country, and how we needed his uplifting, through his vision, moral goodness and leadership qualities.....after 8 years of scum clinton - we deserved HIM!

Well said, my friend!

Thanks John - I found the link to the temporary setup and I have it saved in my favorites.

What are the chances you are working on our being able to keep a copy of what we SEND in the Freepmail section? Sometimes, I have to save the Freepmail in my e-mail section just in case a Freeper makes some comments about what I said and I can't remember it all.
