Yes, the rumors are true. I had the opportunity to ask our president a question today.
First, it began with a statement. Sorry, but I don't remember it exactly ----- Mr. President, my son-in-law recently returned from a cruise on the USS ENTERPRISE. He wants you to know that everyone on that ship, down to the last man and woman, is proud to call you their commander in chief.
He smiled and the crowd gave a huge standing O.
Then one of the event helpers tried to take away the microphone. I politely said no, I hadn't gotten to ask my question.
"Mr. President, now for my question. After you send Tommy Daschle to his room for being bad, please tell us how you plan to end our nation's dependence on foreign oil."
What a fun time and a great right wing audience!
The President should appoint you as his "Director of Democratic Discipline" or some similar title.

We were enroute to babysit with our Grand Children during GW's appearance and your show! Our daughter in law, a new conservative, told me that she had heard GW's speech and was so impressed. Then she kidded me that the guy who mentioned the Big E and his son in law should be a friend of mine! She loved your send Da$$hole to his room comment!
I just sent her an email and said that I had not met you, but considered you to be one of my friends on Free Republic!
My DIL, loved GW's comments about no tax increases! Actually the marriage penalty in our Fed Taxes started her on the road to being a conservative. 9/11 and GW's handling of the terrorists have brought her over totally to our side. Today, she starts her own part time business. She has become a fiscal conservative after this process!
Doug, thanks for being there for all of your family on Free Republic! Our President needed to hear what you said! Great Job!

Darn, I just missed. I got through to Rush's show but the screener could not put me on because there was no way to verify my identity.Rats. At least when you call Hugh Hewitt he can recognize your voice... LOL!
