Great Picture....Vulcan Mind Meld...Bush just said to rousing cheers, "Over my dead body are they going to raise your taxes", This is great.

The line in the sand. NOT OVER MY DEAD BODY WILL THEY RAISE YOUR TAXES.
You better believe President Bush uttered what will he knows will be quoted as much as his dad's "read my lips". You better believe he's going for the juglar with this one. It's ballsy.....to the MAX!!!

Just logged in here at FR - knew there would be running commentary on this "Town Hall" meeting led by President Bush. Just got to hear him say that they (Daschel/Clinton led Demoncreeps) will not succeed in passing tax cuts - no Way! Got a standing O. Me with them!

To: Miss Marple
Thats even better than dad's 'read my lips'
To: oldvike
Bush41: "Read my lips...no new taxes."
Bush43: "No tax increase...over my dead body!"
I guess this means the stakes have been raised...
To: corlorde
NOT OVER MY DEAD BODY HE SAID!No way ? Your kidding right ?
This is guaranteed to get constant repetition in news plus a comparison to "read my lips".
To: MeeknMing
Ok, cute pictures but you've broken the 'one time per thread' rule.

Holy cow is right. I just stood right up and cheered for him. Talk about a strong statement, by a strong man. Gotta love the guy.

WWoooooooooHHhhoooooooo!!!!!! I could almost see Daschle's red-faced wince when President Bush said "not over my dead body will they raise your taxes!" I love it!!
To: oldvike
"Not over my dead body with they raise your taxes!" They========="Daschle Democrats"!
Gotta love it. Go Dubya!
To: VRWC_minion
Yes it will, and THEN he can talk about how his dad was stabbed in the back. Hahaha!!
This is the new, improved Bush model, who MEANS WHAT HE SAYS, and LEARNED BY WATCHING WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS DAD!!
To: YaYa123
I think he's just framed the debate if you butt this statement against that of Dashle's words yesterday. I feel very good going into 2002 if taxes are the issue.
To: YaYa123
Little Tommy, Hitlery and the Rats are getting an ol fashion A$$ WHIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To: Exnihilo
"Over my dead body..." God I love this President. Hey, he got a little choked up at the end there. Makes me love him more. The man cares.
To: YaYa123
LOL you were right. The quote is already up in the box under the MSNBC picture.

I didn't get to see any of it, but the formulation of "not over my dead body" is very interesting, because it seeks to capitalize on his well-being vis-a-vis Osama bin Laden wanting to hurt him, kill him. Anybody else agree that wrapping himself in the flag was intentional here?
