BUCHANAN DECLARES: DEATH OF THE WEST
The New Year is just minutes old and now comes Pat Buchanan to warn: The Death of the West!
In his ultracontroversial book, which will be banned, blocked and burned in many quarters, brave Buchanan contends that the U.S. will be a Third World nation by the year 2050.
The BestSellingAuthorTVHostPresidentialCandidateColumnist predicts Europe will be inundated by an Islamic-Arab-African invasion and most First World nations, including Japan, will have begun slowly to vanish from the earth.
Buchanan is primed and ready for a media blitz behind DEATH OF THE WEST [ranked #492 on AMAZON's hourly sales chart Wednesday morning], set for release from DUNNE.
Buchanan will light the bonfire on NBC's TODAY show this Friday, according to a network source.
But the DRUDGE REPORT can once again bring you the first sneak.
Relying upon the most recent UN population studies, Buchanan declares:
By 2050, only 10% of the worlds people will be of European descent. One third of Europes people will be over 60, and one-in-ten over 80. Involuntary euthanasia has already come to Europe.
Between now and 2050, Asia, Africa, and Latin America will grow by three to four billion people -- 30 to 40 new Mexicos! -- as Europe will lose the equivalent of the entire population of Germany, Poland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland.
By 2050, 23 million Germans will have disappeared along with 16 million Italians and 30 million Russians.
Russia will lose Siberia and the far east to China and be pushed out of the Caucuses and Central Asia, where Islamic populations are exploding while Russias is dying.
Either Europe must effect a radical cutback in pensions and health care for seniors, or Europe must import scores of millions of Arabs and Africans to care for the elderly and pay the taxes to sustain their welfare states.
The 4.2 million Palestinians in Israel and on the West Bank and Gaza will explode to 9 million by 2025, and 15 million by 2050, when Palestinians will outnumber Israels Jewish population two-to-one.
Americas Dual Containment policy in the Persian Gulf seems unsustainable. In less than 25 years, Iraq will have 42 million people and Iran 94 million people, more than any European nation except Russia.
The Islamic invasions of Spain and France in the eighth century, and of the Balkans and Central Europe from the 14th to the 17th centuries, will be reenacted in the lifetime of most of those now living. Islam has already surpassed Catholicism as the largest religion on earth.
It is the Christian nations -- Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox -- that have begun to die. In a chapter titled, Where Have All the Children Gone? Buchanan explains why, and why it is unlikely the West can solve the demographic crisis before it leads to The Death of the West.
In his chapter La Reconquista, Buchanan contends that an invasion of the United States is taking place and that America now harbors a nation within a nation.
There are 30 million foreign born in the U.S. today, and between 9 and 11 million illegal aliens, or as many undocumented aliens in the U.S. as there are people in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Mexico is exporting its poor and unemployed for U.S. taxpayers to employ and educate. Radical and militant Hispanics and Mexican leaders alike believe this will lead to the cultural and demographic recapture of the Southwest from America, reversing the results of The Mexican War.
By supporting open borders, the GOP is committing suicide. First-time Hispanic voters chose Clinton 15-1 over Dole. Of the seven major immigration states -- Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California, Texas and Florida -- Mr. Bush lost five, and perhaps six. Of the 10 states with the smallest share of immigrants, Bush won all 10.
European-Americans are a minority in Americas most populous state, California, and by 2004, will be a minority in Texas.
The political agenda of California Hispanics includes race welfare for illegal aliens, racial preferences, bilingual education, open borders, dual citizenship, Cinqo de Mayo as a California holiday, and, in one case, replacing a statue of an American hero of the Mexican War with the Aztec god Quetzacoatl.
White Americans are fleeing California at the rate of 100,000 a year.
MeCHA, the student organization that claims chapters on hundreds of campuses has a program that reads like a Mexican version of the agenda of the white-supremacist Aryan Nation.
In 2001, an Office for Mexicans Abroad in Mexico was providing survival kits with everything from dried meat to anti-diarrhea pills to condoms to Mexicans setting off to break in to the United States .
As of 2000, there were 8.4 million foreign born in California, as many foreign born as there are people in New Jersey, a primary cause of the state energy and schools crisis.
Among Third World immigrants, poverty rates and incarceration rates are double and triple what they are among native-born Americans.
Shooting up the flares and waving the flag, Buchanan argues that the 1960s counter-culture has become Americas dominant culture, and the iconoclasts of that counter-culture are systematically demolishing Americas history and heritage.
Under Political Correctness, Americas greatest heroes -- soldiers, explorers and statesmen from Columbus to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson -- are under savage attack as genocidal racists and exploiters of indigenous peoples.
The history books of American public schools are being rewritten with the old heroes ignored or trashed and Western civilization disparaged and demeaned.
When Mel Gibsons film, The Patriot, came out in 2000, it was savagely attacked for presenting black Americans as fighting patriots in the Revolutionary War.
With the assault on Confederate books, symbols, flags, heroes, and holidays almost complete, the attack is now proceeding against the Puritan fathers, soldiers who fought in The Mexican War, and, in New Jersey, even against the Declaration of Independence itself.
In some school districts, Mark Twain, Flannery OConnor, and any realistic portrayal of the America South, including Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird, are now forbidden.
Even the great museums on Americas Mall, to introduce school children to the greatness and glory of Americas past, are being used to indoctrinate children in how wicked and evil our forefathers were.
In his chapter, The De-Christianization of America, Buchanan argues that the death of the Christian faith in Western countries is a primary cause of their dying populations. Whenever faith dies, the people die. A new atheistic civilization is arising, he argues, and is using its dominance of the culture and the courts to drive Christianity out of the temples of our civilization.
Secular Humanism, widely mocked and disparaged, a few decades ago, is now the dominant faith of the nations cultural elites. The moral tenets of humanism are replacing those of Christianity in our public life.
Even Christian churches are rewriting their hymnals to make them acceptable to the dominant culture.
Anti-Catholic films and filthy and blasphemous anti-Christian art are the deliberate insults of a triumphant pagan and secularist faith.
The book's publication was delayed after September terror.

It isn't so much immigrants who are taking up affirmative actions slots (Asians certainly get no benefit from AA), but native-born minorities.
Many affirmative action spots go to hispanics, which means that eventually the sons and daughters of hispanic immigrants will be eligible.
Hispanic immigrants are taking full advantage of the welfare state right now, which I notice you didn't bother to dispute. What makes you think it won't be the same with AA?

One of the most interesting aspects of the modern immigrant saga has been the deafening SILENCE on the part of the environmental lobby. Environmentalists are arguably one of the most powerful lobbies because they function through judicial dictate--the preferred method of governance by the Washington Power Structure.
They have been overwhelmingly successful in inculcating Native-born Americans with a sense of self-loathing and limitation. One could argue that many Americans limit the children they bring into the world because of concerns for over-population. And, of course, any environmentalist worth his salt would argue that the human population is the single greatest threat to the health of the environment.
And yet every allowable opinion on the mass immigration policies of the last 30 years (far "left" and far "right", or tweedledum and tweedle-dumber) has been overwhelmingly favorable.
They also limit reproduction because they have been taught that material wealth equals success and also because 50% of their earnings are redistributed--NOT to the poor or sick--but rather to the bureaucracy that enlarges itself with every election cycle. And the bureaucracy--government and corporate--is one of the greatest boosters of mass immigration. The same corporate/statist bureaucracy that funds "population control" everywhere on the planet.
(The only Federal bureaucracy that has ever been in danger of being trimmed since WWII is the military. And even calling it "trimming" is laughable in the context of the fact that we spend 14 times more on defense than the entire rest of the world put together. But even that "threat" has been diminished now that George Bush has declared eternal war against "terrorism" and "evil".)
The most interesting debate since the Lincoln/Douglas debates would surely have been a Buchanan/Nader debate. And yet both these men are marginal characters in our "free" country.
Already only a minority of "citizens" vote in our carefully controlled election "process".
It's all very curious to a simple person like me.....

So I guess that whole business about avoiding entangling alliances was a mistake that the Founders made? Too bad you weren't around back then to set them straight.
Your view of "entangling alliances" is downright childish. Search the web and get yourself a text of the Constitution. You need it. Because nothing in the Constitution prevents the President and Congress from (a) entering into treaties with other nations, (b) establishing diplomatic relations with other nations, or (c) declaring war on other nations.
You're right we probably should pursue a global empire, and that nasty old Constitution, well it's been nothing but trouble. LOL - no wonder you voted for Bush!
Again, the Constitution provides the President and Congress the ability to promote our national interests (ie. trade/commerce) and national defense. Please provide us with a list of what you consider to be Unconstitutional actions rather than throwing a blanket over everything.

Save your banter for someone who finds your posts intelligent or amusing. You're the one who butted in on a posting that I made to another member. I usually save my banter for those who ask for it. The next time...maybe you will mind your own business. ;-)

I would like it to be taken back to the pre-70's limits of about 250,000 LEGALS per year. Period. I'd rather have no limits to quantity, but have guidelines on quality.
No Family Reunification Act...
Once one is in legally, at least the immediate family should be brought in.
and no citizenship for babies born on American soil.
From a practical matter, it would take a constitutional amendment to do it. I think it would be a big mistake, in that we'd end up with a glut of people as citizens of no nation, just waiting to be snapped up by the first opportunity.
In addition, I would like to see our borders CLOSED to ALL illegals. All immigrants coming on boats would be detained somewhere but not on OUR soil....and I would like our country to adopt some of the Canadian stringencies to immigration such as the requirement that the immigrant be able to CONTRIBUTE to country...
Fair enough.
Finally, without a doubt, the immigrant should speak FLUENT ENGLISH, and should have a college degree.
I think English should be a prerequisite for citizenship and I'd make welfare only available for citizens. However, I'd allow anyone in, as long as they did not have a serious contagious disease (AIDS or TB, for example; having a case of sniffles would not be a bar to entry) and did not have a criminal record for things that would be crimes in the U.S. (For example, a Chinese family who had been convicted of violating China's population control policies would not be barred -- having more than 1 child is not a crime in the U.S.)

No one seems to have suggested that Buchanan has the facts wrong.
It's more of a rich vs. poor debate than a racialist debate. A broad historical trend about rich cultures which are located next to poor ones is that the rich cultures always have lower birth rates and higher average ages (this isn't a roman catholic issue - more like the prosperous yuppie "fear of commitment" where people don't get married or have kids; different motivations and ways of avoiding responsibility) and the poor ones move in.
And the US has been a great place to be as a rich country. It might not be so great as a poor one.
They're talking about the very same thing in Europe. Buchanan has just cast the discussion in North American terms.

Having lived in South Texas outside of San Antonio, I can state that there were a lot of jobs that Mexican laborers did that an Anglo wouldn't touch! Without that pool of labor in the Texas Hill Country, a lot of jobs would not have gotten done!
I tutored in the elementary school in our town and to a person, the Mexican parents wanted their children to be able to speak and read English. I found them very receptive, very religious, and a very proud people that just wanted their children to have a better life! Don't think it is right to trash any one group the way I have seen Mexicans trashed on this forum.
We all had the good fortune to be born in this Country, but I always wondered what it would be like to be born in a Country like Mexico and look across the border and see a better life for my children. I think a lot of us would be doing anything we could to come to America for a better life for our families just like the Mexicans have done!

Nice try, but they aren't to my taste, I'll take Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Jefferson Davis, John Randolph, Robert Penn Warren, Remington, Bierstadt, Robinson Jeffers, and Calhoun. Oops, I guess that makes me a Western cultural supremacist Fair enough. I will take all of the above over Karl Marx, Michel Foucault, Antonio Gramsci, Georg Friedrich Hegel, Herbert Marcuse (European immigrant to the States no less), Jacques Derrida, Jean Paul Sartre, Martin Heidegger, etc.
I see that we both tend to lean toward AMERICAN political philosophers. That is a good thing. I too am a America Firster, albeit NOT IN THE BUCHANANITE SENSE OF "BLOOD AND SOIL."

Buchanan's racist babblings are not helping our country survive, his rants are only releasing the frustration that he is experiencing. It is a pity that a man who had the attention of the news media would have squandered that power by tearing down, rather than building up, America.I don't see Buchanan's latest book as racist babbling...maybe there's a tremendous amount of truth to what Buchanan has to say; but no one wants to listen. He's merely stating that which is factual...the world's demographics are shifting and there's ample evidence to accurately suggest which direction they're shifting. It's obviously his opinion as to what the demographic landscape will look like in 50 years or so, but I'd hardly call that racist babbling. Why is it racist?
To: ResistorSister
Dear Sister,
Demographics are not racist. They are numbers. I grant you that Pat Buchanan (and I) are definitely at least somewhat 'ethnocentric,' in that we seem to agree that Western Christian European Civilization is preferable to other cultures. Furthermore, we strive to promote and protect it, because it seems preferable to us.
The only proof I can offer is that WCC is the only world culture that actively tolerates concepts from others. Diversity, for example, is prized nowhere else.
Buchanan also understands the difference and relationship between "Demographics,' and 'Psychographics,' that is, the very mind-set that makes Westerners Westerners, is being overwhelmed by numbers. Previous waves of immigration were based on a concept of gradual assimilation of various European stocks. Since 1965, we have opened the borders to other peoples who outnumber Europeans by factors of a 100. It took 3 Million Irishmen 100 years to get here. Unrestrained, the Mexicans, Indians, Chinese, Indonesians, Phillipinos could each send 3 Million a month with no trouble at all. This many people can never be assimilated and turned to the ways of Western tolerance and democracy.
You have no idea of Third World birth rates. For example, I worked in East Africa when Kenya was a paradise with 4 Million people. Now, 25 years later, it's a hellhole with 35 Million. In the meantime, European birthrates have fallen below '0' in many countries.(Ireland, God Bless Her, being a welcome exception.)
In other words, Sister, your feminist progeny is going to have a lot more to resist in the next 100 years. Buchanan's book, which you really ought to read, was foreshadowed by Spengler's "Decline of the West." What really bothers me, and apparently Buchanan, however, is best expressed in Skinner's "Beyond Freedom and Dignity."
Resisting old European-biased white men might be a hell of a lot of good fun for parlor feminists, but at least stop and consider your targets, not to mention the fate of women in the world to come. As bad as we euro-chauvinists are, women fare far worse in the other cultures that are poised to overwhelm and replace us.

I saw several white male/Asian female couples. Every gentile gringo (I am both) here in Miami marries a Latin. So does that mean that I am supposed to do the same? Where are you coming from?
I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years. Don't tell anybody but I saw guys with guys and girls with girls. Ahhhhhhh!!
I was stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa for 2 years and then worked for Honeywell Military Products Group in St. Petersburg for about 5 years. I saw all kind of things in Ybor City. But, I did not feel obligated to do as they did.
I guess I am just old fashioned. I make my own decisions and walk my own walk. I don't fashion my life or my standards by what I see.

That is because europeans have been conditioned to believe that their own self-preservation is racist. So, you are saying that Europeans are:
- Easily lead
- Naive
- Lack intelligence

Yours is a very racist position. At the end of the colonial period Hispanic America enjoyed superior educational and scientific institutions than those prevailing in the English colonies. The difference rests in the establishment by the founders of the American Revolution of a free government, free commerce and free entrepreneurial system that brought forward unparallel prosperity and freedom to its people. Those countries that followed the American model have reached similar results. Unfortunately, God and our Judeo-Christian heritage has been expelled from our schools and our great founding fathers are being denigrated and smeared by a Godless Marxist controlled liberal establishment.
