If the West dies where will Pat get parts for his Mercedes-Benz? LOL! I have not heard Pat make a correct prediction in 2 years. The saddest thing is that he does make some good points about the foolishness of some of our policies, but no one takes him serious anymore because he goes off xenophobic rants.

Looks like it could be pretty interesting. Pat has some good ideas, but every time I start to like him he goes off the deep end with something crazy.

Maybe the thread is violating the rule prohibiting ads of Free Republic .... That's exactly why I took off Drudge's link to Amazon. He gets a kickback for every book sold that uses his one of his Amazon links.

The suppression of discussion seems real doesn't it?!

Wonderful! Himself is putting on his Ultramontange togs and trying to out-Spengler Spengler! Pat, I read Oswald Spengler's Untergang des Abendlandes, and you're no Oswald Spengler. Pat has become increasingly irrelevant and it seems that he senses it. As if in response, his writings have morphed from social commentary into Jeremiads that make Ayn Rand look saner every time he dips his quill in the inkwell.

Does it really matter if some(including you)think he sounds like a racist? Yes, I think it matters because it will take all (of every race) Americans to force changes. Buchanan's racists "sounds" will be rejected by the majority of Americans; his ideas, his stats, and his passions will then come to not.
To: IM2Phat4U
This thread was pulled without explanation a few minutes ago. Anyone know why?Because the vast majority of the analysis in his book is racist?
To: theoldright
because this is a topic that the censors don't want you to discuss.
If this is the case...they are certainly going to be 'busy lil censors', now arent' they? LOL...

I like Pat Buchanan. I disagree with his stance (since the 1992 campaign) about Living Wage, but I disagree with George W Bush on a few points too. The Liberals have spent the better part of the 90's trying to demonize him because they have no idea how answer his well thought out arguments. There is no doubt that Buchanan is brilliant, so Liberals had to label Pat as a racist. SO WHAT? Everyone who knows Pat, knows he's not a racist ... it has become evident to me that those who toss the label 'racist' around ... are, by and large , the racists in our society.

Why can't the admin moderator share this rule with the forum? Seriously, why can't you or they just come out and say it?

Don't matter to me, I won't be around in 2050 I won't be around in 2050 either but my grandkids will be. I want them to have something. Did you ever stop to think about that?
To: Pokey78
He is not a racist, he is an alarmist, out to make an alarming killing with an alarming book. But we will all benefit from looking at the points he dramatically raises. The book couldn't come at a better time.

I studied art in the 60s ...we read a book called "The End of Art"..It was all the rage In the 1920s we had the end of war, in the 60s the end of poverty, and in the 80s the end of history. Stupid predictions never cease.
I'm sure that in the 1890s and early 1900s when most of our grandparents were heading here on 'Banana Boats' speaking strange languages and practicing different religions, some Victorian version of Buchanan was spouting the same nonsense. If I'm not mistaken, the percentage of 'foreign born' citizens was much higher then than now.
Xenophobia is always good for making a buck. There will always be a market for it.

Pat the future employee of the month at Fuddrukers must accept that if the Euro-peons want to eliminate themselves via abortion and excessive use of birth control, let them.
BTW: All of you population control people must accept the fact that the birth rate is FALLING throughout Latin America and other parts of the underdeveloped world. Nevertheless, they still haven't reach the negative population growth of the Euro-peons.

Don't forget the second part of my reply. Do you think the US should be any different than any other culture in history?
