John Edwards opines last year:

Edwards tells U.S. News and World Report that he thinks former President Bill Clinton will soon retake the helm of the Democratic Party. Edwards does not think Gephardt or Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle have filled Clinton's shoes.

Today I surely thought the world had tipped when the FoxNews reporter assured us that "John Edwards said that the Taliban leader was in Pakistan." What? Who cares what this leftist liar says about the Taliban? Is Sen. Edwards FoxNews's new trusted war analyst? Tell us what the administration knows and spare us this ambitious ambulance chaser. ARGGG!

IMHO, Feinstein and others will continue to abandon Daschle because Daschle is fighting an unwinnable fight, and quite poorly at that. The RATS are increasingly being perceived as not wanting the American Economy to rebound for purely selfish political reasons...Feinstein may simply be reading the tea leaves and making the conscious decision not to go along with that tactic.
