Here are my heroes of September 11. Who are yours?
We wind up the year. It has been full of drama. We now prepare for fun. Christmas is coming, very soon, and whatever religious holiday you celebrate, you've probably got some cheer and downtime coming. And this is good.

Don't forget the Port Authority. They lost members, too. And a special recognition to the Port Authority guy who took the full train back to New Jersey before the towers collapsed.

Pokey, an Army Ranger who came home on leave--he was in the group that went into Mullah Omar's place back in October--was met at the airport by his family, then escorted by the fire department--it looked like all of their trucks running lights & siren--from his village outside Green Bay to a reception at a hall in the village.
Love those firefighters! Love those Rangers!

I'm going to bed now, but wanted to say one thing. It is a shame that a medal cannot go to the person who deserves it most - the man that showed immediate fury and resolve - the man that is fighting a war on terror that clinton feared to fight - the man that respects the military and has their respect in return - the man that has made us feel safe and grateful. The man we are honored and lucky to have as our commander-in-chief - a man of honor, honesty, faith and heart:
President George W. Bush

Thank you Pokey

There are not enough medals to go around, but we must not forget our military men and women who willingly place their lives on the line to defend and protect us and to go after the murders and infidels like Osama Bin Laden! What about that military guy who's foot was taken off when they were looking for mines!
To: Pokey78
The Men and Women on Flight 93.
All gave some. Some gave all.

Right you are, lady.
He'll take delight in giving the medal to others and will, in that very act of giving, receive the only honor he desires.
