Look at that Marine on the left raising the flag. Even in battle the boy's got a crease in his shirt sleeve that would cut butter.

Orphaned Afghan girls, dressed-up in celebration of Eid, play on the grounds of
the Alaudin orphanage in the Afghan capital Kabul, Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001.
During the three days of Eid, which follow the holy fasting month of Ramadan,
the roughly 300 girls at the orphanage wear make-up and gowns given to them
by private donors.

Thanks
Firing squad for the Al Queada.
It sure sucks to see those women having to plea for food. Where are groups like Red Cross and others to assist with establishing the aid?

It truly is. As a father of 2...and a 15 year military vet...my heart aches when I think of the kids. I imagine my sons and it tears me up.

It's hard to tell who's more thrilled to see the other .... Secretary Rumsfeld or the troops. Gosh, it's good to have adults running the show again!
God bless President Bush and our military ...... and God bless America!
Thanks so much for this daily thread ...... we see photos we wouldn't see anywhere else!
