What is it with Bill Maher and the Liberal media at ABC! Your opinion isn't exactly "breaking news" but maybe if nitwit so-called "conservatives" stopped watching them they'd allgo away....

so what are you trying to say?
To: Pete Ballard
Here's the logic:
1. Firearms in the hands of airline passengers is a bad idea: Any attempt to stop a hijacking with a gun could result in the deaths of innocent passengers.
2. Better to leave this to professionals: If you're hijacked, government will send an F-15 to blow your plane out of the sky.

Another free for all of Dems attacking the 1 lone conservative guest. Oh nothing new there ... I think they've been doing that since .... ummmm .. it first aired ..
My favorite is when someone tries to speak the truth .. Bills head starts spinning around .. lol

At least last night they had Hitchens and Klayman on the same show. Hitchens had a great line about coke-sodden rock stars always calling him Clinton-obsessed.

ever heard the saying, "keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer"?
To: Pete Ballard
Liberals have taken to using tragedy to further their ideas for the country. I didn't notice it much before X42. I think it's yet another legacy for him.

Horrible! Another free for all of Dems attacking the 1 lone conservative guest. Good, now I know not to watch. As I always ask, why do conservatives go on this show? It makes them, and all of us, look stupid.

Maher is just a scumbag left winger that still doesn't get it !

Yeah, I loved reading and hearing him refer to himself as a 'libertarian'. Lets see he's: anti-second amendment, pro-enviornmental regulation, against domestic energy production/ANWR, against giving money to people who don't need it (tax cuts), in favor of racial quotas designed to make up for "historic injustices done to minorities", in favor of peace-keeping military operations, an advocate of campaign-finance reform that bans free speech, and on and on.
The question really ought to be, can you be any less libertarian than this guy? Libertarianism (to me) seems less an ideology than a sentiment- to believe in freedom and to believe that you have a right to it. I, like most conservatives, consider that sentiment a central tenet of my belief system. I guess that I have always viewed myself as a classic conservative (in the American sense)-- I stand balancing three equally important strains of my ideology-libertarianism, religious traditionalism and free-market capitalism.
And, I can therefore say without reservation, Bill Maher is nothing short of wacko if he honestly believes he's a libertarian. The only libertaian belief he holds is his constant criticism of government authority (and even that's fake because it's not as though it's founded on a principle he's holding fast to; in fact it's not founded on anything other than his typical, adolescent, knee-jerk dislike of anything Republican- which is what this administration is.)!
But, I can solve Bill Maher's dilemma for him- of finding out what he is- HE'S AN A$$H*LE!!! (If you're listening Bill, I hope i've been of assistance to you). If not, I tried!
To: conservativesoutherner
The only thing remotely similar to anything "libertarian" about Maher is that he doesn't want the Feds breathing down his back when he's doing his drugs.
I guess in his mind that's reason enough.
To: Pete Ballard
"I don't see the connection, do you?"
Of course not, that's what Maher does best. I call it Redirecting the point to fit the purpose (RTPTFTP). All D'Rats have to pass a test, before they get their D'Rat ID's, proving they can RTPTFTP. It's their purpose in life.
Why do you still listen to that nut? Are you masochistic?
Just kidding,
mostly.
To: Pete Ballard
I don't watch any show with Bill Maher on it. Time is precious and I don't want to waste my time getting angry at a person who is not informed on the issues, but has an opinion on the issues anyway.
