Take the test and see where you come out....

I've always known I was somewhere in the middle but this is crazy...... Left/right....(.13)....Authoritarian/Libertarian....(-0.67). And I'm one of those "born-again" right wing fanatics!

I agree the questions were somewhat questionable....

I don't consider this very accurate. Many of the questions / answers are limited in their description of the "problem", and/or are limited in their response.

I was forced to either agree or disagree with a very basic statement of opinion that often did not accurately represent the complexities of the issue.

Same here.

In that respect, it resembled a certain quiz meant to "prove" that We're All Libertarians.

Economic Left/Right: 3.00 Authoritarian/Libertarian: 0.36

I doubt the precision of the test... some of those questions are not defined strictly enough.

I thought the questions were a "little off" too. Assuming that was because it was designed for the UK, so no gun control for example. I was authoritarian right but only 2 to the right and 2 above the very center.

The opening question ("If globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations") betrays the deep biases of its designer. The underlying fraudulent assumption is that humanity and trans-national corporations must always stand in fundamental opposition to one another, locked in a zero-sum contest--in a battle of between good and evil.

The implication of good and evil derives from the natural inclination of human beings to identify with other human beings and to fear powerful nonhuman entities. The test-taker thus is asked, "Do you support "good" (liberal humanism) or do you support "evil" (conservative capitalism)?

Other questions are similarly slanted. The intended result? The unthinking person comes away after taking the test with a more favorable impression of liberalism and less favorable impression of conservatism.

The test is leftist agitprop disguised as a neutral test of political leanings. It reminds of similarly slanted "tests" designed by libertarian organizations.

I am shocked,,forgot to write the numbers, but I am way down toward the libertarian side smack in the middle between the left and right. And my kids think I am the Joe Stalin of mothers. And I do think kids should be seen and not heard,,shouldn't that have raised my authoritarian score? I think I am tired of being authoritarian after three kids, you sort of get to be a libertarian by default and fatigue.

I agree the questions were slanted, such as "If globalism is inevitable", it best not be inevitable, would have been an option that I would have liked to have been offered.

'I think I am tired of being authoritarian after three kids, you sort of get to be a libertarian by default and fatigue.'

LOL

Didn't need to take this silly test to know what I think. (but did anyway). So just confirms that I'm a silly conservative Libertarian.
