I am posting this as a reminder that all pro-lifers must vote for Life. Even if you are not Catholic, most of these arguments should hold water for you. I know that this is long, but it is worth reading and contemplating.God bless you, God bless Free Republic, and God bless all the aborted babies.

So glad you posted this. I would never have voted for a pro-abortion candidate, and never have.
But, I will now always vote for the most pro-abotion candidate I can find, because I'll be damned if I'll have some foreign leader of an opressive superstitious religion tell me how to vote.
Superstition
Religion
Christianity

Even if you are not Catholic, most of these arguments should hold water for you. Agreed.

I posted this article because I am a firm believer in protecting the lives of the unborn, and yes, I am a practicing Catholic. I didn't intend for this to become a debate on religion, but rather a reflection on how ALL Christians -- Catholics and Protestants -- should think about elections. If all Christians vote pro-life consistently, think about all the babies that can be saved.

I find it disappointing that so many priests will not speak to their parishoners about voting for pro-life candidates, for fear of losing their tax exempt status, while the dems, hillary and gore, for example, practically campaigned in churches throughout the country.

1. Isnt conscience the same as my own opinions and feelings?
And doesnt everyone have the right to his or her own conscience? Conscience is NOT the same as your opinions or feelings. Conscience cannot be identical with your feelings because conscience is the activity of your intellect in judging the rightness or wrongness of your actions or omissions, past, present, or future, while your feelings come from another part of your soul and should be governed by your intellect and will.
Conscience is not identical with your opinions because your intellect bases its judgment upon the natural moral law, which is inherent in your human nature and is identical with the Ten Commandments.
The above definitions and statements are priceless and accurate to a "T" but are totally useless to an intellectually challenged liberal.
These statements are based on the truth and liberals have no use nor capacity for the truth especially if it conflicts with whatever they are yelling at the top of their voice>
Thereby rendering their ears, with which they should be listening, useless.
