Leave it to the French. Don't they have some wine to sip and cheese to eat ... or something?

PM's who side with the arabs against the west in Turkey tend to get hung by the army.

And Israel is supposed to be afraid of French criticism?
I would bet on one Israeli with a rifle over 1000 French with tanks and planes any day.

The Turks are right about the possibility of war -- it would be more dangerous than the situation in Afghanistan.
The other comment from Turkey, and the one from Jordan are for public consumption. Both have fairly good relations with Israel, and Jordan has no love for Palestinians.
The EU depends too much on Arab oil to piss anybody off. They are trying to give Austria to Hitler again.

Turkey keeps it up and they might take themselves out of the running for who gets Mecca.

"Arafat has been weakened by the harassment of the Israeli army ... and as a result people are using his weakness as an argument to say that since he cannot reestablish order in his own camp, he should in some way be eliminated," Vedrine said. "Sadly, it looks like a deliberate policy," he said. Hey Frenchie, wake up. Arafat did this to himself. He's had 8 years with which to crack down on Islamic militants. More Israelis have been killed by terrorism in the 8 years of the "peace process" than in all the years before. Open your eyes.

Associated Free Press? Is that like a virus name where you are tricked into thinking it's something legitimate because the words Associated and Press show up in the name.
Garbage? I think so. Pull this clap trap propaganda.

France: "hey guys, just do what we did - surrender tres quick so the Brits and US can save our sorry cheese-eatin' once-a-week-bathin' breath-stinkin' cryin'-in-the-streets-of-paris a$$es"

The French eat snails and laugh uncontrolably at Jerry Lewis. They are the New York Times of nations: They manage to find a way to be on the wrong side of
everything all the time. They lose wars before shots are even fired and they let Carlos the Jackal get married and wear smoking jackets and ascots in prison.
And what is it about their opinion on anything that we should consider?

I'm saddened that these reports seem to have Turkey aligning itself with the terrorist rabble; I expected better of them.
France, on the other hand, did the completely expected.

"Sharon is determined to implement very excessive, unjust measures against the Palestinian Authority," What could possibly be more unjust than killing innocent civilians out for a night of enjoyment? To hell with them.

Exercising of restraint is just more appeasement!

Did that headline just called France a "turkey," or is the country of Turkey also upset at Israel?

"Sharon is determined to implement very excessive, unjust measures against the Palestinian Authority," The AP seems given to hyperbole. The above quote doesn't seem to be a "lashing out." Just a rehash of the standard European position on the Israel/Palestine conflict. Then again, why should we be surprised the press is prone to generating heat more than light?

Give the french a break. They're beside themselves these days. There's so much action going on in the world, which of course presents so many opportunities for surrender that they've become downright giddy trying to plan them all.

"If this turns into an actual war, it may lead to a situation that could be more dangerous than the one in Afghanistan, particularly for our region," he said.Better pick the "right" side now, while you've got the chance...
The Belgian presidency of the EU said in a statement that "on the contrary, the Palestinian Authority should be helped to assume all of its responsibilities under the agreements it has signed."
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!....That's what Israel IS DOING!....BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

About 25 years ago, someone published a cartoon of a large pig, labeled France, licking the oil from the boots of two Arabs standing in front of an oil well. One Arab was saying to the other, "You can always count on the French."

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov called on Arafat to take "tough measures" against extremists but added that Israel "must display political wisdom and restraint and not take action which would transform the Israeli-Palestinian conflict into an irreversible process." I wonder if the Russian Foreign Minister thinks the same about the Chechen's?
