This is sad news. Mrs. Brady has had a tragic life. Married to a brilliant man who had half his brain blown away. She remains loyal to her marriage vows. She stayed with him, a semi-invalid, through thick and through thin. She really and truly believes in the cause she advocates.
While I do not agree with her on gun control, I admire her for standing by her husband in good times and in bad, as the marriage vows proclaim.
I hope Sara gets excellent treatment for her cancer, and that the time she has left will be peaceful and serene.

Those smoking bullets will take a person out, but they are more slow than the real thing. A lingering death of lung cancer is a bad way to go. Perhaps she was subconsciously attempting to commit suicide, but refused to use a gun because of the public relations blowback, and cigarettes seemed like the next best weapon especially since her PR flacks could spin it as unintentional.
Just a possibility...

I didn't say he smoked watermelons. He was a young oncologist who worked at the V.A. hospital in L.A. and he loved watermelons; he neither smoked nor drank alcohol and was as surprised as his doctors were to discover he had inoperable lung cancer - nice guy, too.

I watched 2 people die of lung cancer. It was a terrible way to go, choking for breath. Both were smokers & hadn't breathed easy for years anyway.

"
I'm not a smoker but many Freepers are. I guess you think they're idiots too."
Interesting question you pose. Seems like one would have to say either that smokers are idiots or that smoking is addictive. I believe it's the latter.

Whose fault it is then? You had to ask? You know that Sarah is the leader in the idea that inanimate objects kill. This is not her fault. It's the cigarettes' fault. Remember...cigarettes kill. (Nevermind the part about smoking them.) The real question is, if she'd just let them lay there and not smoke them, would they have killed her anyway? What if she'd just kept them in her purse or beside her bed and never had to use them? Based on her past theories, I would say the evil cigarettes would definitely have killed her.

Smoking is a CHOICE. This is just amazing. She had a change to save a life (her own) but chose to fritter it away. However, I must say, most Liberals I know feel that once you smoke ... you're hooked and all because of Big Tobacco. No personal choice, no free will. I'm sure Sarah is blaming this on the GOP.

I don't see them trying to strip law-abiding citizens of their firearms. I see them trying to to root out law-breaking non-citizens.
But if someone's decided that the UCMJ is unConstitutional all of a sudden, I guess that's their prerogative. Not like there's a war on or anything.

what was the point of this nbc news piece? was it for sympathy? a stike against low tar cigaretts? Basically a liberal "puff piece"... praising the poor widdle anti-gun activist who's now being killed by that evil tobacco industry b/c she can't control herself...
Seriously, I've noted that most anti-gunners are either irresponsible or lack self-control in some form or other, and they project that trait onto other people. They know that they're weak-willed, and they expect others to be as well. This is why they're scared to have firearms available to the public; they know they can't be trusted to handle one responsibly.

Will people stop listening to her now?

Guns,cigerettes..both government controlled..
Perhaps she will have a new cause now,and leave the constitution alone!
This is a tragedy for the Bradys..I hope God is with them during this time.

The real question is, if she'd just let them lay there and not smoke them, would they have killed her anyway? Of course, Liberals feel that the lure of cigarettes FAR surpasses anyone's ability to turn them down. However almost everyone is an EX-smoker ... at least here in Los Angeles.

Fooled you too, ey? This woman is half a cut above OBL. I have no sympathy for her. She is an enemy of the Constitution and of all freedom loving people. The world will be a better place with her not in it.

Your graph is not statistically supportable; one car wreck will kill you; one overdose of many drugs can kill you; one night boozing (.30 or so) will kill you; one suicide is supposed to kill you; one case of AIDS should kill you; a fat-choked heart will kill you; it takes years of smoking to compromise your health, and then you die.
Conversely, you abstain from all vice and sin; you pray religiously, turn more cheeks that maids turn sheets and you still die - what's your point?
