I just heard from April Winchell that she will play "The Ballad of Mike Moran" on her show on KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles. The show is on Saturday nights from 7-10pm.
Perhaps many of you recognize her as the sarcastic complaining woman in the brilliant and funny series of radio commercials for Glendale Fed.

It went wonderfully. We finally made it on a 50,000 watt station.

It was fantastic! She really spoke well of the project and then Dave the traffic guy came in (he's a cousin of a friend) and told her that KFI had the CD for a while and she sounded surprised! Then he said we were a great bunch of vets in the Chamber-Made Brigade and she once again said it was great!

I was just told by my radio pal Dave that on a good night, a KFI broadcast can be heard in up to 14 states! Even Hawaii sometimes because of the clear channel they have.

I was just talking to an acquaintance who said he was flipping the TV channels and someone mentioned something about "a song about Osama bin Laden kissing my royal Irish ass."

We received an order on the website that referred to a cable tv station that caught the buyer's attention.

Maybe it's time to look for cable stations, even local ones in large markets, to send CDs.

As a small child I remember Al's first exposure by Doctor D. Great stuff.

By the way, I listened to April for the first time two weeks ago outside as I was working on my house with my radio blasting away. She seems an interesting & charming lady.
