Laura Bush Zings Hillary

Laura Bush seems to be coming into her own as first lady -- especially in contrast to her predecessor.

Not only does a new poll show her outshining Hillary Clinton, but in little noticed remarks last week, the demure Texan actually made fun of Mrs. Clinton's megabucks book deal.

Addressing the National Press Club about the fears she'd experienced since Sept. 11, Mrs. Bush took time out for some comic relief with this answer to a question about whether she intended to write a book about her experience.

"I guess it'll be whether or not I can get that $8 million advance." The audience roared with laughter.

The rest of America also seems to appreciate the new first lady's light touch after Hillary's eight years of power grabbing and money grubbing.

56 percent of those surveyed told a Fox News Dynamics poll that Bush fits the image of what a first lady should be. Only 26 percent said Hillary lived up to their ideal.

And in more bad news for Sen. Clinton, the Fox survey shows her favorability rating actually going down in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks. Though she's been on TV more often than ever before, touting her efforts to help New York City recover, her favorability rating has slid to just 44 percent.

That's a twelve point decline from Mrs. Clinton's January high of 56 percent.

This smells to high heaven, after all that she and her slimey husband have done why should she still be accorded that high a rating?

Who are these pollsters talking to?

Or, is this just the continuance of the filthy lie started by the lying alphabet media in the beginning?

During the many years since these two foul people, Bill and Hillary, slithered out of the sewer of their anonymity and onto the national scene I, myelf, have not heard one credible individual speak anything redemptive about either of these two scumbags.

I just love the part about LB being the first First Lady to deliver a Presidential radio Address. HOW IN THE WORLD did the clintonoids overlook this great opportunity for the hilLIARy critter to show us all how smart she is? What an omission!

This HAS to have the rodham-monster eating her liver and gnashing her teeth.

You don't have to be credible to vote, or to answer a pollster. Some crack ho gives her opinion, it carries the same weight as Rudy's.

Remember too, "favorable ratings" are a very low standard. Not compared to anyone else, just "favorable" meaning "I guess she's OK," or "I dunno, I never t'ought abouddit--yeah, sure, why not."

Was the first thing I thought of when I read that Laura Bush was the first...Hitlery fuming, spitting mad. Her rolling eyes at President's Bush's speech was nothing compared to her fury at not being "first" at something truly meaningful and historical. The honors always get heaped upon those who truly are low in spirit.

Hillary to staff: Why didn't you think of that, you morons!

That's a good one; but they're too busy spinning right now.

May I be shallow for a moment? Thanks.

She's also soooo much better looking than Her Heinous.

Look at the simplicity in that room. Nothing gaudy. Nothing flashy. No Hollywood production number. Just a beautiful, well-spoken, well-bred woman with a soul and a conscience. I've loved Laura Bush since the day I saw her. She is a first-rate First Lady, and can put the rest of the pack to shame. Next to her, Hillary Clinton looks like a trailer queen social climber. Wait! That's what Hillary Clinton IS!!!

Yeah, the leftist news media are trying to breath new life in Hillary's old bedraggled bag of bones.

I remember that night(the real election night) as a reminder of how very kind she had been at a big HOT Florida election rally.

While W was speaking, she saw a distressed baby in the audience. She quietly walked in front of him to the front of the stage called the secret service to her side and sent them to help. Water and a wet cloth appeared in seconds, it seemed. He continued his remarks and soon she turned and returned to her place on stage. While walking back to her place, there was a long applause for a remark by W. He paused, met her, and asked about the child. She assured him all was OK and he showed his relief with a huge smile.

The event went on, most of the audience not even knowing why she walked to the edge of the platform.

Now that is a real First Lady!

How did I observe this? My station for the day was to watch the folks in the Handicapped Section. I could not have been any closer to the stage, I had my glasses on and my hearing is still good!

After the Kennedy's snubbed Laura, I took the opportunity to thank her for her kindness and received a lovely note in return.

Now isn't that what you want to hear about a First Lady?

I agree and am impressed--they are both class acts. Thanks for sharing that story. The more anecdotes I hear about each of them, the more I am impressed and the more I realize why it was that God had me (and so many others) on bended-knee praying through those dark November/December months.

"My wife is gorgeous, good-humored, quick to laugh, down-to-earth, and very smart."....George W. Bush, A Charge to Keep

I do believe the man is right!!

George and Laura Bush are gifts to this country to help us heal from the wounds inflicted by the despicable former occupants of the White House. Praise God!!

I'll be keeping a keen eye on the Weather Channel for temperatures in Hell to dip below freezing.

That's when I know I'll hear about these poll results in the mainstream media.
