"Bush drives Putin to Texas Ranch in Truck"
Right out of the movies: Remember in "Red October" Sean Connery's First Officer wanted to defect to Montana and get him a pickup truck? Never heard of anyone wanting to move to Moscow and stand in line to get a loaf of bread.

I hope so!
BTW, Putin is wearing his seatbelt and Bush isn't. It's TX state law!
Wonder when the media is going to report on this.

Any truth to the rumor that they drove up on Ann Richards front lawn and tore it up?
The story goes that she came out to yell at them and W. dropped trou and mooned her while Putin winged a couple of Lone Star emties at her.

I have a question. If the United States wishes to notify the other signatory of the ABM treaty that the U. S. wishes to cancel the treaty, where do we send the letter?
For those who don't understand my question, does the Soviet Union still maintain an address?

Looks like the President chooses to drive a Ford F-350 Super Duty.
Nice truck, for as long as they last.

Big fan of 'Red October'? One of my faves.

Yep, time to put the cold war behind us. The Russians are facing over a bilion Chinese to their east and over a billion Muslims to their south. That is their basic geopolitical fact of life. In contrast, there is no inherent geopolitical reason why Russia and America shouldn't be friends rather than enemies. They need us more than we need them, but they are useful to our own national interests to have on our side. The conflict caused by crackpot communism over the past century was only an aberation, and was very damaging to Russia's long-term national interests.

Very good point! ..... :-)
And that's exactly why the treaty is null and void now, IMO.

Thanks for posting! They all looked wonderful, and obviously Putin's side did a lot of research into customs, traditions, etc. The yellow rose - very nice touch.
Who designed the menu? It's great! Not only does Bush have great speech writers, he has great chefs!

Our President has way too much class for such behavior ..... and I think that President Putin does, too.

Not on private property.

Some years ago, my company hired a former Soviet MiG-21 pilot, test pilot, and cosmonaut. One night we took him to a country & western establishment for copious amounts of alcohol and C&W music/dancing. Near the end of a long evening, our Russian friend exclaimed,
"All my life I want to be cowboy! Now I living the life!!!" Still cannot suppress a laugh when I think of that time...

Tonight Vladimir Putin is introduced to another American tradition.
A food fight.
(Sorry, I just watched "Animal House" last night. Vladi, my man!)

I'm so proud to call this humble man "Our President", especially after 8 horrible, embarassing years of #42. It's a shame that the only President from Arkansas had to have been the BUBBA & 'his wife'. It makes me sick to even think about those eight looonnnggg years. Yes, it is wonderful to have an honest and humble President with a wife who tells the truth and doesn't want to become our NEXT PRESIDENT.

I wonder if the Secret Service are hiding in the trunk ;-) They surely aren't too far behind.
