COLMES: Welcome back to HANNITY & COLMES. I'm Alan Colmes.

First: America's at war with terrorists. Should Usama bin Laden, President Bush or any past U.S. president be blamed for the recent attacks? Last night, Malik Shabazz of the New Black Panther Party had this to say about America's war.

"shoeshine boy? if you want to insult malik; please do so...but don't insult a whole race of people in the process."

I shined shoes for extra money as a kid. I'm white. What's with this PC crap? Only a hypersensitive liberal would assume that something like "shoeshine boy" was a reference to race. Malik probably isn't qualified to shine shoes anyway. If anything, it was an insult to those of us who have been in some way associated with the shoe shining industry.

"First of all, Malik, if you said this in any other country, you would be jailed or killed"

I can't believe this guy is getting away with these comments at a time of war!
I hope the FBI is on his tail. I am sick!

There's a book called Cvil War II that I used to dismiss as white supremacist tripe.

I have re-read it in light of good ole Malik.

The book is correct - this country will disintegrate along race lines. Trash like Shabazz are just so filled with hate and lies that can't get over it.

I love the crap about "..built this country...". No, moron, your ancestors, willing or not, HELPED to build this country. I surely don't have many ancestors born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

I actually applauded Colmes for that last remark he made. And Colmes is the liberal, right? What a change.

Yeah, I find I actually kinda like him after that program. Oh, geez, get a grip, what's wrong with me? Must be Alan's flag lapel pin...:-)

I think Hannity and Colmes both did a great job last night. BTW, how can you have a civil interview with an idiot like this?

Simple answer is, you cannot. Scum like Malik just keep spouting the party line (in this case, Israel and Jews are the problem) and won't discuss anything or give a straight answer to any question, no matter how direct. If you attempt to keep the conversation on the facts, they'll just keep blowing smoke and dance around the facts, never deviating from whatever mantra sums up their rationale. Really a waste of time to have these people on and it enlightens no one. A shouting match is the best you can hope for because you'll never get a real discussion. Hannity and Colmes did the best they could; Malik is dangerous.

Sister Aminah Akbar, a Muslim chaplain at New York state's Albion women's prison, has been suspended after she "reportedly told inmates that Osama bin Laden 'is a hero to all Muslims.' " The Buffalo News reports that "she also is said to have told a gathering of inmates that the United States was making a scapegoat of bin Laden, and that the Taliban government in Afghanistan is right in not turning him over to the United States."

This is from today's Best of the Web

I wasn't surprised that C-Span and the National Press Club gave these pathetic black fascists and their mentally crippled followers a forum for their racist incitement.

I was. I must still have a few naive genes left.

I guess I lost that innocence during the 2000 election knife fight when C-Span and the National Press Club turned their facilities over to every left-fringe group out there. C-Span and the National Press Club are thoroughly invested in deconstructing a free America, IMO. This most recent abandonment of good sense will do more to discredit them with a wider public.

Sean's show is growing by leaps and bounds. I liked him on WABC radio, and now our cable gets FoxNews, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Sean always nails these phonies who don't even have the courage to say what they really think.

Thanks for the info, DonQ. You seem to have the 411 on Malik, so I'll ask you. There was no mention of Malcolm X there, and I've heard/seen rumors that he was related somehow. Didn't Malcom X have a relative who changed her name to Shabazz? Any relation, or is Malik merely trying to insinuate that familial connection with his name change?

"Yeah, I find I actually kinda like him after that program."

I found it kind of endearing that he said "I'm with both of you guys tonight" to Hannity and Newt Gingrich during the follow-up segment. It was as if he was embarassed and felt like he needed to take a shower just for having been on the liberal side of the fence after Malik's appearance.

I wish they would calmly ask them questions they can never answer!!

Let them hang themselves with their own rope...so to speak.

Quiet an easy thing to do actually, but Hannity seems to prefer a verbal food fight, which I think exposes his own intellectual limitations.

Shabazz is an ancient family name of some considerable clout in the Moslem world, I think somehow related to the Prophet Mohammed or something. It was picked up by Malcolm X as, evidently, his new family name when he decided to use something more than a single letter (Malcolm X's widow is Betty Shabazz, etc.) ... X adopted it, he wasn't really related to the Arabic Shabazz dynasty. Zulu here likewise adopted it, and for all I know he didn't even know its historical roots, he thought it would deceive people into thinking he was connected to the family of Malcolm X (who, I think, was dead before Zulu was born).

It sounds like something Mike Savage would have coined...

Actually, it was Mancow in Chicago who first did the "Hannity and Commie" label.

Excellent! I guess Fox translated the conversation to English because I listened to it live and it was not a very intelligent interview. Such a Hatemonger! His comment about his people built America was so offensive to me because a lot of people from all over the world built America! This is the only group of "so-called" Americans that I see openly issuing hatemongerging against the Republic.

That's true too. I'm white and I used to pick watermelons from my grandfathers garden as a child...well, not even going to go there.

I've noticed that FReepers who have appeared on H and C have made comments on FR saying that Colmes was very friendly towards them, in spite of his liberal point of view.
