A plane in North Carolina in Monroe just dumped a blanket of white powder over a daycare center.Not joking here..breaking on NC News station FOX 18

A REAL anthrax release from an airplane would NOT NOT NOT result in a white powder on the ground. It would disperse quickly and would be totally invisible. The release would become known only when infections began showing up in the hundreds.

Unless it's mixed with some other white powder to make sure it DOES fall. I'm concerned about the kids. Any story should be listened to. If it turns out to be fake powder, thank God.

Thanks American. Yes indeed to answer your question. I had my son all day yesterday and did halloween in the mall and zoo. I was not crazy about bringing him out on the 31st neither is his mom. We took the safe route.

I believe you are correct. In order to disperse widely, the anthrax would have to be in microscopic granules and there is no civilian crop duster with the tehnology to disperse granules so miniscule, from what I've read. Only the military has machinery to do this.

Yes ...... reports say that some of the day care workers were outside with some of the children ...... noticed plane ..... a few minutes later, they realized that a white powder was on cars, ground .... and people, including kids ..... :-(

How can you sit there and say this????? You do not know the chemical make up of the stuff they use(would use) You do not know exactly how it was distributed(*could be distributed)

If the plane was flying low say 30 feet (depending of course on whats around) and it dropped 5 tons of the material (thats 10,000 pounds) I am pretty sure there would be a powdery residue (especially if the drop was over a small area)
